Stylish top floor 1 bed flat in West Hampstead

A stylish and quirky top floor split-level flat in the heart of West Hampstead. Situated just off the high road the flat is on a quiet and leafy residential street. The neighbourhood has a relaxed, villagey feel with lots of great places to eat, drink and relax and a Farmer's Market on Saturdays. It's also home to a number of famous actors! The flat has a large living room, big attic bedroom with king-sized bed, compact kitchen and brand new bathroom a perfect base to explore all of London.

The flat is situated on the top floor of a converted house with a light-filled living room that looks down a leafy residential street. There is a semi-open plan kitchen off the large living room and a separate, newly re-furbished bathroom to the right of the front door as you walk in. A staircase leads up to a sizeable bedroom at the very top of the building with plenty of wardrobe and storage space.

West Hampstead is a villagey, residential neighbourhood in north West London. The flat is located on a quiet residential street just off the main road West End Lane, which is full of small shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. It's a friendly and relaxed area with a Farmer's Market every Saturday next to the local Thameslink station and four small supermarkets all within ten minutes' walk of the flat.

West Hampstead also has fantastic transport links to the whole of London. West Hampstead Underground on the Jubilee Line is an 8 minute walk from the flat and it only takes 10 minutes to get to Bond Street and the centre of London. Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express is also easy and quick to get to via Baker Street (and a detour to visit the home of Sherlock Holmes). West Hampstead Overground station is also only 7 minutes walk away with a network that covers the whole of London. The West Hampstead Thameslink Station (only 5 mins from the flat) is two stops and 8 mins from St Pancras International station and the Eurostar. Trains also go on to Blackfriars, Barbican and the City in about 15 minutes. For a day trip out of London trains from the Thameslink Station will also take you to Brighton and the seaside in approximately an hour.

It is set within a safe and quiet area, and is very well connected for travelling within and outside of London. Ben was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and responded promptly to our queries. Ben's place is cozy and comfortable. We spent 10 days sightseeing and were always happy to return to the warmth and comfort of our little home away from home. Fantastic Flat

The flat was just perfect for my daughter and me; close to the tube station to do the "London things" but also located in a lovely neighborhood. We actually spent two afternoons in West Hampstead - I think we hit every single thrift shop on West End Lane. We had to purchase another carry-on to to fit everything! Everyone was so kind in all the shops and cafés we stopped in. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful. Hope to do it again in a couple of years. 😊

We had a terrific stay in London. Ben was at the property on arrival and even carried our bags up to our top floor appartment which was appreciated:) He also was quick to respond to calls and queries prior to our holiday. Its location was very handy for the tube and train in any direction. The local shops and restaurants were also many and varied. The appartment had everything we needed except maybe a microwave and hairdryer. The only thing that needs attention was the cleanliness, especially in the kitchen. I dont think you shoud have to walk into your accomodation and feel you have to wash the mugs, plates and cutlery, cupboard tops and door handles. Also, the stove range hood was quite gross. If these aspects are addressed, it would be a much more comfortable appartment .

Very comfortable and quiet flat

Ben was a gracious host when I had to change our reservations due to my own mistake. It is a very nice place to come back to after exploring the city. The flat is in a quiet neighborhood and is a short walk away from the Thameslink. The bedroom is on the second floor with bathroom on the first if that is an issue for you. But we would happily stay here again.

Pros - Ben was responsive and met us at the flat to show us around. - reasonable price for London - excellent transportion links really close to flat - some good restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance -washing machine and dishwasher Cons - the flat was just not clean. - some TLC needed for basic upkeep such as taping down the shelving liners, better table for eating meals, a mirror upstairs in the bedroom.

Awesome location, close to great food, access to the underground, grocery store

The flat was great, perfect for what we wanted. Very clean, with the windows it cools down quick, and stays cool all night. Quick walk to some great food- (bellaluna italian restaurant- we literally ate there twice). Safe neighborhood, and Ben was awesome, and even included a walk through! Acess to the underground for a quick trip to westminster, or whereevery youd like to go! (Reccomend getting the oyster card- so much easier than buying individual tickets every time) Will stay again!

Lovely home away from home

Well located in quieter neighbourhood of London. Tube, railway and overground transportation less then 10 minutes walk away to get into London, out Heathrow airport or from Southampton (cruise port). After big and busy days n London it was nice to come back to a clean and full equipped Vrbo to relax on the main level and sleep upstairs. I will be staying at this property when I am back in London and recommend it to friends. Thank you Ben for being an excellent host.

A Wonderful Place to Call Home in London

This flat is well-appointed with all the comforts of a home. Wonderfully decorated and stock full of everything you need. The property host, Ben, is very nice and quick to help. He met us upon arrival and kindly carried our luggage up the stairs to the flat, then spent enough time with us to show us the details of the flat. The location is very close to overground and underground transportation stations, making trips around the city super simple. The town of West Hampstead has its own charms and plenty of shopping and dining options. No place is perfect, so the only downside are the stairs, but not a problem for us, and we are in our mid-sixties. This was a lovely place for us to start our vacation journey around the UK.

It is clean and has everything you need for a stay in London Ben is a super hospitable host and always quick to reply. Perfect for a solo traveler

I was visiting my daughter and grands after a two week trip in Morocco. I booked primarily for its easy access to my daughter’s home. I love the space! The loft bedroom is awesome and the bed invites instant sleep. I stayed from March 4-10 ( note error, above), and I was able to pick up my 8 year old granddaughter from her school each day. First day, we explored her ‘ hood, Hempstead, and ate crepes in a darling pub. By day 3 we walked to my flat, where she could have a snack, chill out and do her homework. After the first visit, at pick up, when asked “ where to?” Her response was “ your place.” I will look to stay here upon a next visit. Ben was most accommodating.
