The Neighborhood:

Gloucester Road is in the heart of the upmarket cosmopolitan and safe neighbourhood of South Kensington. Postcode SW7. Zone 2.

A short stroll past pretty cafes and bars to Hyde Park (approx. 15-18mins walk) and a shopping mecca of Kensington High Street to one side, and a scenic walk to Natural History, Science and Victoria & Albert Museums (12mins walk) to the other, the apartment is ideally situated for exploring London's cultural and culinary pursuits.

And if shopping is your thing, simply continue on Brompton Road, peppered with high end boutiques to arrive at iconic Harrods at the end.

With close proximity to key transport links it is ideally located for access to London Fashion Week shows, Olympia Exhibition Centre, Chelsea Design Centre and all London airports.

Please note buildings on Gloucester Rd all have raised ground floor, so there are 4-5 steps leading from the pavement to the building's main door.

Inside flat is on the same level as entrance, but inside the flat there are 8 steps leading to the mezzanine sleeping level.

We had a wonderful stay at Kensington, the apartment was terrific and in a great location.It was close the tube and easy access to all corners of London.Great restaurants close by and walking distance to Kensington High St.A little quirk when booking this property, you need to undertake a verification process with an external company prior to accessing the keys.Something to note the bed is on a mezzanine level with steep steps and may not suit elderly people or those with mobility issues.That said, it was a great place in a wonderful location and we would happily stay there when we are next in London.Tamara is a great host and is keen for you to enjoy your time in her property.

Lovely Flat in Kensington

This stylish flat was the perfect location for our family trip to London. Quiet neighborhood but easy walk to Hyde Park and lots of great restaurants, very close Underground as well. The flat itself has a great layout, felt plenty spacious for our family of 3, and the bed is large and very very comfortable. We found it most direct to communicate with the host, Tamara, via WhatsApp, and she was very gracious on a busy holiday week/end!

Mini break to the capital

Fantastic apartment, very comfortable with everything you need to enjoy yourselves. Great location close to the tube station and a short walk to Hyde Park. The accommodation was always welcoming after a long day sight seeing and very quiet. Would definitely book again and wouldn’t hesitate to suggest to a couple looking for a comfortable and inviting place to stay.

Cozy home away from home with great location

Really enjoyed our stay here, centrally located with great options for sightseeing and transit, as well as easily walkable to High St. Kensington and major museum such as Victoria & Albert, and over to Harrods. The unit was clean and bright. I would think someone would want good personal mobility to get up the narrow stairs to the half height open-plan balcony bedroom concept, which did not prove to be a problem for us.

What a gem!

What a great find. The overall design and character of this flat create a fun and hip place to hang your hat for a week. We loved the location and ease of access to transportation nearby. We had a minor plumbing issue on arrival which was taken care of right away with excellent communication from the owner / manager. We filled our days with a lot of sightseeing and it was nice to come home to a quiet place to unwind and enjoy our own home cooked meals when we wanted. We are looking forward to returning here someday.

This flat is the perfect place to stay for a romantic London stay! The location has everything you need within walking distance and super accessible to public transportation. The area has great restaurants and food shops for anything you need or want. The neighborhood is quiet even though it is on a main street and lovely residential streets to roam. The flat is well stocked with anything you could need. Even some cooking essentials so you can easily cook a simple meal. The host even has a nice little welcome basket of snacks as well as coffee and tea. It’s the little things that make a difference. Everything in the flat is so cleverly constructed and thoughtfully designed. The loft bed may not be idea if you have some mobility issues but we enjoyed the roomy loft style bed. And the bed was really comfortable. Tamara is the ultimate host! She was so helpful and responded to our questions very quickly. We can’t thank her enough for her hospitality!

Great location, comfortable studio and great host!

Loved everything about this studio! Daughter and I stayed at Tamara's beautiful studio when traveling to the UK. The location was conveniently located near the underground station, safe and had lots of restaurants nearby. The studio was cozy, perfectly decorated and had everything you would need for your stay. Tamara's communication was great, and she left detailed instructions on everything in the studio as well as recommendations of things to see and restaurants to try in the area. What a unique and lovely flat. Exactly as you see in the pictures. Well appointed with everything we needed plus lots of thoughtful touches so my husband and I were very comfortable. Booking was easy and Tamara is a terrific host. Easy communication before and throughout our 1-week stay. The detailed step-by-step for check-in/out and appliance how-to's were very useful. We had issues accessing email on arriving in London. Tamara was extra helpful in getting us checked in. The location is amazing. Close to the underground and shops. A quick walk up the street to Hyde Park for a peaceful stroll or picnic. We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it for a couple's getaway

Perfect studio flat!!

This flat was amazing! Was perfect for my getaway. Close to restaurants and tube! I loved the loft for the bed and the layout and beautiful Interior design. Right up my alley and I can’t wait to hopefully return!

Un appartement design avec une mezzanine un peu dangereuse (marches glissantes) bien qu’un peu sombre on s’y sent bien. Tout le confort lave linge lave vaisselle et un bon contact avec la gérante

Cozy Quiet Hideaway

A great neighborhood location close to the tube and Kensington area attractions. Despite its elevated ground floor in a corner building, it is remarkably quiet. One very large ‘courtyard’ window lets in some daylight yet seems quite private from neighbors. The flat is basically a studio with a loft bedroom, accessible via narrow stairs. You are unable to stand up completely, so a crawl into the cozy bed is required. Storage is excellent for a small place and comes equipped with most essentials. My wife and I will seek out this flat next time we are back in London, Cheers!
