Appartement très bien placé, spacieux et décoré avec goût pour un séjour magnifique!

C'est la 2ème fois que nous revenons à Lisbonne avec nos deux filles dans la maison de notre hôte Mariana qui nous a à chaque fois accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Nous avons adoré l'emplacement très central de l'appartement (à proximité du métro et à une courte distance à pied du centre, des magasins et des principaux lieux touristiques). De plus, l'appartement est situé dans une ruelle calme typique, est spacieux, clair et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Nous y avons passé deux séjours magnifiques et reviendrons à Lisbonne sans hésiter chez Mariana une prochaine fois!

Great !

We spent one great week in Lisbon in this lovely flat. The flat is very spaceful, clean and well organized. Our 2 daughters had their own bedroom and the parents room is very nice. Thanks to the fan, the flat remained cool. The neighborhood is quite quiet. The flat is very close to the metro and to little shops, restaurants etc. Thanks again Mariana!

Lisbon break

Lovely spacious and stylish apartment in a local area but close to Av. Libertades and Avenida metro. Had good recommendations from the owner. Particularly enjoyed the meal and fado at Maria of Mouraria and a great brunch at Stanislav near the apartment.

Charming, well located apartment in heart of Lisbon

We enjoyed our stay in this very charming and comfortable apartment in a well located area in Lisbon. The apartment is situated where you can pop into any of the neighborhoods easily with many restaurants and supermarkets and cafes nearby. Place was clean and well decorated. Host was kind enough to let us leave our luggage in the building for a few extra hours before our afternoon train. Really enjoyed the stay!

A Wonderful Stay

I had a fabulous stay at Marianna's beautiful flat in Lisbon. The flat was most comfortable with lots of space + windows that brought much light and breeze especially on the warmer days. The 2 bedrooms were perfect sizes with very comfortable beds. The kitchen was delightful with all one could need available. The flat had lovely balconies throughout which I thoroughly enjoyed as I looked out at the beautiful views both front and back of the flat. The location was perfect also to the center of the city, all in walking distance. I also had the great pleasure of meeting Marianna during my stay, who was most accommodating and kind. I hope to return to Lisbon soon and would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much Marianna!

Great apartment with charm and well located !

We spent three nights at this beautiful apartment in center Lisbon and we could not have asked for better. The apartment had so much charm and we slept so well, no noise at all from outside. After a long day of walking the streets of Lisbon we would sit and enjoy the nice breeze that comes in when you open the windows. There are tons of restaurants nearby, cafes and little markets that also have good wine. We certainly would come back and stay at Mariana's place !! Daniela & Terry

Wij hebben met ons gezin (ouders en 3 kinderen) een heerlijke tijd gehad in Lissabon. Het appartement is sfeervol en super gelegen. De inrichting is zeer compleet. Het centrum van Lissabon was maar een paar minuten lopen en in de directe omgeving waren genoeg winkeltjes voor de dagelijkse boodschappen. Het enige minpuntje is dat het lastig parkeren is in de buurt van het appartement.

Superb, fully equipped flat in central location - perfect for a family city break to Lisbon

We stayed 10 days in the flat and could not be happier. We flew in to Lisbon Airport and used the metro to travel in to Lisbon - took around 30-40 min. The flat was easy to find (we used the Maps on the iphone) and was a 5 min walk from Avenida metro stop. We were met on arrival and the owner gave us a quick of the flat and some hints and tips about what to do and where to go which was great. The flat is fully equipped including very comfortable beds, dish washer, washing machine, iron, hair drier etc. there was even 'hotel size' shampoo and body wash in the shower. In the kitchen there was salt/pepper/oil etc and dishwasher tablets etc which is a nice touch. The WiFi was great too. After querying we decided to bring some beach towels as I didn't want to take the lovely, fluffy towels supplied to the beach. There are 2-3 local 'Fruiterias within 200 meters of the flat' - small shops with a selection of food but the most wonderful selection of fruit. You can also get fresh bread. We ate out most evenings and visited a few of the restaurants based on Rua Sao Jose on the way down to Rossio metro station. We had great food every time. We used the flat as a base and became experts using the metro system which was really easy to use. We traveled to Sintra, a wonderful town up in the mountains (45 min on train from Rossio station); to a number of beaches - Cascais and Estoril - 2 fairly small and very busy beaches, 30-40 min on train from Cais do Sodre station; but our favorite beach was Costa do Caparica with miles of golden yellow sand facing the Atlantic so the waves were great. To get there we took the boat from Cais do Sodre to Cacilhas (10 min) and bus 135 to Caparica (20 min). We also visited the Oceanarium, located near the Oriente metro stop, which we enjoyed immensely as well as the History of Lisbon center located on Terreiro do Paco, a massive plaza by the port. The history tour is well worth it if you are interested in architecture as it explains why Lisbon is structured the way it is. For an extra euro you get access to the top of the Arc with great views in all direction. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lisbon, the flat was perfect for our needs and we hope to return again in the future.

Stunning Flat in Central Lisboa

Wow - can I move in? This flat is simply stunning. From the gorgeous hardwood floors, original tiles, giant dining table and two sets of huge double doors opening onto a classic narrow Portuguese street it's the perfect place to stay to experience Lisbon. The flat is even better than it looks in the photos. I stayed with one girlfriend so we each had our own room and plenty of space. It would be the perfect spot to stay for one or two couples, or a family of 3-5. There is a master bedroom which is accessed through the small walkthrough room (the bed in there stayed folded up as we didn't need it) and a large walkthrough closet with plenty of storage. The other bedroom which is smaller is on the other side of the flat. We found both beds to be extremely comfy. Despite all of it's original charm, the flat has all the modern conveniences, nice shower with good pressure and hot water, dishwasher, washing machine etc. . Keep in mind that as this is Europe and it's an older building there is no A/C and it is on the top floor. This was not a problem when we were there in early June, but it could be hotter later in the summer. There are, however, a number of fans and the property gets a very nice breeze blowing through it. With the windows open it never felt stuffy. Also note it has a classic Portuguese (and European) kitchen which is quite tight, even two people operating in there is on the cosy side. Having said that, just next door is the wide open living/dining room.It's also a short walk to so much of the amazing restaurants Lisbon has to offer, we only ever used the kitchen for making breakfast. My girlfriend and I walked just about EVERYWHERE while we there. 2 minutes from Avenida station, 10 minutes walking from downtown and 15 minutes walking to trendy Bairro Alto. The only time we took a taxi was to the airport, which was 15 minutes away and cost about €8 (in an uber). Mariana was lovely, really helpful and she lives in the flat below so we knew she wouldn't be far away if there was a problem (although there never was). She was really accommodating when we took a wrong turn driving into Lisbon and ended up on a 45min+ detour. She also provided us a with lots of maps and gave us a rundown on everything nearby. I really could not recommend this property enough. If you want to experience the best of Lisbon like a local, this is the place to be!
