Cute and Great Location, but not for us

This property ultimately did not work for our purposes, but it was very well located and would be nice for most - a couple of overlooked details in the listing did not clearly illustrate that the bedrooms and main bath were up a fairly steep flight of stairs, which did not work well for our needs. The property was clean and well appointed, would be fine for most.

Great place to stay in Lihue

Banyan Harbor is a great central location on the island. This condo was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. You can get beach chairs and boogie boards from the office. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Very Clean and Great Location

We had a fabulous stay here. It is the perfect size for 2 adults or 2 couples. It has a cute kitchen and family room decorated in beach style. The natural breeze is very nice but if you need more there is a great air conditioning unit. Also a huge plus was using the owner's truck! We were able to see all of the island with it. It is close to stores, beaches, restaurants and the Lihue airport. The beds are comfortable and there is a laundry unit that was great. Our favorite part was how clean it was. I will definitely be staying here again!

We had a great stay at this property. Had everything we needed. Only small issue was that the bedroom at top of the stairs did not have a working ceiling light. 3 A/C units made it a comfortable stay. Location was good. At check-in we had to prove that we were registered with the state of Hawaii. That caused some issues as there was no wi-fi in the lobby and 4G outside the building was not working very good. Making screenshots of the website before arriving will save time and frustrations. Renting the owner's pickup truck saved us a lot of money on car rental.

“Sweet home away from home”

We had stayed in one of the condos at Banyon Harbor in the past but this was our first experience thru VRBO. Was not sure what to expect but the stay was absolutely wonderful and the owners always responded in a timely manner when questions were needing to be answered. Although they were new to this as well, we were very pleased. The AC worked very well downstairs and in the bedroom with the AC in it upstairs . We just could not get the 2nd bedroom upstairs to get cool enough for total comfort even with the ceiling fan going, but it was tolerable. Beautifully remodeled condo with all the kitchen items one needs to make a meal and serve it😉 I loved the little instructions that were left by the owners to help with some of the instructions regarding the fans, AC, and W/D functions. Very modern remodel with a very homey/ personal touch of course👍🏼 Loved the shower with the liquid body soap, shampoo and conditioner ready to use! Would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much for sharing your home!!

Great Central Location

Spacious "Hawaiian" themed condo, near Lihue airport, and centrally located to drive to other areas of the island. This is a 2-story condo, which is not mentioned in the description and needs to be as my husband has bad knees and it was extremely painful and difficult to navigate the steep stair case in the unit. Nearly impossible to haul a large suitcase up stairs. We would have never selected a multi-level unit if we had known about this. The entire property is on the side of a hill and quite steep so really isn't suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Also, the description of the "view" is not entirely accurate. While you can see the tip of the bay way across the Matson container yard, the view was from the upstairs master window. The only view from the lanai was the adjoining buildings and parking lot. The two a/c units are wonderful and quickly cool down the living room area and master bedroom, however, the second bedroom has just a ceiling fan and in the summer remains a bit warm. The shared upstairs bathroom had the door removed to allow space for a washer/dryer and the curtain hanging across the opening doesn't really provide adequate privacy in the bathroom.
