This property and the property management was amazing.I loved having our own kitchen and washer and dryer. The grounds were beautiful, and the Villa was clean and comfortable.
This was a wonderful location, close to the airport (I got one last look as we flew out), close to shopping and plenty of sights. The grounds were amazing, the pool options were wonderful and we spent plenty of time there. Very nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit and the king size bed was very comfortable. There were some sand toys, beach chairs and snorkeling gear which was great. Some notes, the lay out photo is not accurate, you have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. The furniture is different. There is a broken recliner and not the two chairs, we pay attention because our family likes to have plenty of seating. There were not enough pillow cases for the extra pillows, luckily my younger kid had a pillow along. There also werenât many blankets, again my smaller kid was able to use the smaller blanket for the pull out bed. There was some trash left from the last guest on the dresser, crumbs on the furniture and the cabinets werenât very clean. We were the a week (4 of us) and there were 4 bath towels and 1 bath mat. It would have been nice to have an extra bath mat since it would get pretty wet after each use. Yes there was a washer and dryer but I donât want to spend my vacation doing laundry. Also, there wasnât a lot of places to hang towels and suits. A rack would be nice rather than putting suits over the chairs on the lanai. I would recommend this resort.
This was my second time staying at the Kauai Beach Resort, but my first time staying at the Kauai Beach Villas. We rented one of the hotel style rooms last year and were looking for something with a little bit more space. This unit was perfect! * Full Kitchen * living room with dining area, * separate bedroom and full washroom. It included all the essentials for everyday life! Having access to the resort amenities is an awesome added bonus! It was a great space and location for our visit! Centrally located for various road trips and very close to the airport! Crystal the host was amazing to communicate with and would quickly respond to any of my questions I had before our arrival! I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for the perfect simple stay in Lihue! Mahalo Crystal! Aloha
I was looking for someplace on the beach yet not too expensive, and I found this apartment, so glad I did.Close to the airport and easy to find, check -in was a breeze. The place was laid out well and spotlessly clean without any of those off smells that warn about mildew. Fully stocked and usable kitchen, soap and shampoo in the shower.comfortable bed and pillows. One review I read warned of bugs but we didn't see a single one in ten days.We didn't visit the resort, the beach and pool at the unit were enough, but be aware that it's a couple miles to any town, store or restaurant. No going out and having a couple drinks at a local joint.Recommend costco for gas and Walmart for food as well as the local farmer's markets. Settle in for a couple days with the beach (monk seals rest there), the chickens and the mynas providing background music.
The photos showing this particular unit was not quite what we expected. The photos show a unit on an upper floor with somewhat of a view of the I. This unit is downstairs and has no view of the ocean. Maybe a more accurate description of the unit.
Our stay at the Villas was very fulfilling. The property offered free parking, towels to the pool, and a fun patio set to enjoy coffee on in the morning. We watched the chickens roam in the morning and enjoyed the views from the walk out porch. We found the pull out bed to be comfortable enough and convenient. The kitchen offered all utensils needed for both the kitchen and when we wanted to grill pool side. The AC worked amazing and our little one enjoyed the TV shows offered. WiFi seemed quick, and we loved having the washer and dryer available in our room.We wish there would have been more toilet paper, and paper towels left for us. We ended up having to purchase some of our own. I also felt some of the pictures were confusing when we booked. The Villas has a small pool and hot tub, but you have access to the Outrigger pools and hot tub along with the beach. In the closet we found beach chairs, snorkeling gear, a few sand pails, an umbrella, a cooler, and a play pen you could use during your stay.Over all great stay, and would be happy to book with them again!
The place is nicely located but needs upgrade. The washer and the sofa bed are old and need to be replaced. The sofa bed flexes even with our super thin 10 year old son and he basically slept with us in master because it was not meant to be used. The air conditioner makes noise too. The property was clean but overall expensive for the size and quality. Giving 4 stars because the outrigger resort access saved the day a bit. Itâs managed by a property manager who is not on site. Thanks.
Villas D-19 was a MUST stay if you are wanting the luxuries of home. The property was beautiful and had that Hawaii feel. Management was amazing to work with and answered all the questions we had about the property. A full size kitchen was totally worth it for a quick breakfast or snack before we started our day. Loved having a microwave and a dishwasher but a washer and dryer made it so easy and a must going forward. They thought of everything from an ice chest and chairs to take to the beach, cooking ingredients, extra tooth brush or toiletries if you forgot yours, even detergent to wash your clothes. We couldnât have asked for a better place to stay. If I had to critique the property in anyway, it would be the resort side. The bar by the pool closes by 6 PM and no pool side service for food or drinks unless you get out of the pool and walk into the lounge. The pool area was absolutely beautiful and the chickens running around were fun to watch. The parking was a very close and not having to pay for parking was a nice addition. Our unit also had a couch that pulled out to a bed if you are thinking of bring kids. If your looking for a fancy place, this is not the place for you. For us it had everything we wanted and even more.
Entree door obviously water damaged and makes for a very unappealing first impression! Kitchen cabinets smell. Previous guests cooking items left in cabinets were OLD and SMELLY. Cobwebs on dining area light fixture. A recliner that does not recline. Dirty sofa. Window shades could not be opened. Bathroom under sink cabinet full of previous guests items that were rusted cans, empty cans and old out of date products.
When I arrived, the patio cushioned chair was sitting out in the rain which made it unusable for my stay and the rest of the patio furniture was nasty also!
Management company maintaining this property is not doing a respectable job.
Very over priced for the condition of this condo. Will never return or recommend. The overall appearance of the complex shows its age.
Everything with the actual condo was great. The beach is very windy; itâs beautiful but not conducive to lazy sun tanning or playing on the beach for most of the day
This condo can be a good choice if you'd like to explore both the North and South sides of the island due to its central location, and if you don't mind not being located right in a town. We really appreciated the washer and dryer since exploring on Kauai can be messy and we didn't have to pack as many clothes! There are 2 TVs with Netfix and the option of logging into other streaming apps, though the one in the living room is pretty old and difficult to navigate. The bed was very comfortable aside from an odd slant on one side. We also appreciated that parking didn't cost anything upon arrival.
The pools and hot tubs at the Outrigger are cool, and the pool bar was well stocked, but pretty sleepy and closed promptly at 6pm every day. Shutters is nice and the nightly live music is a good touch, though the food is just ok and a bit over priced (to be expected at a resort).
What I didn't realize until we arrived was that the unit is on a back corner of the building next to the parking lot, so the view from 2 of the 3 windows is of cars. It's also quite dark inside the unit, even with all the window shades open.
Overall, I would pay more next time for a more luxurious place, something that feels more like we're treating ourselves, but since we were out and about most of the time on this trip, this place did the trick.
Glad we found this place! Great central location allowing us to explore the entire island. Loved the patio, beach access and resort amenities. Appreciated having use of beach chairs, boogie boards and cooler for day trips. The washer and dryer was a bonus. Clean and very comfy bed. Thank you!
