Hotels met restaurant in Liberia

'We needed a place to stay after flying in and before driving to La Fortuna the next day but wanted something more authentic/local than the American chains. This place suited our needs. It really is a little oasis in the middle of a pretty run down block on the edge of Liberia. The barbed wire and high fence surrounding the property shocked us a bit, but the rooms all face inwards around a beautiful garden and lovely pool, patio, and hot tub. We felt secure because of the fence and gated parking....

'Convenient close to the airport. 12 minute drive with our rental car. From the city it is also only a 5 minute drive. I would not recommend to walk. Breakfast was freshly made and consists out of typical Costa Rican hot dish, toast, cereals and fresh fruit. We did not eat at the restaurant in the evening. The room was convenient and clean. The bed was good. Relaxing at the end of the day you can do at the well maintained pool area. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. '

'The room was simple, the bed sheets did have quite a bit of hair on them and the check in was a little complex because they don’t actually use Expedia, so when i showed them my confirmation/reference number for the booking the front staff had no idea what i was talking about. I booked a 3 bed room and was provided a 1 bed room. Not a big deal since I was travelling solo. The breakfast was good but I noticed because I was the only one that didn’t speak Spanish I wasn’t offered the beans and rice....
