It's five minutes or so to downtown Lansing and it's great spots and about 15 or so to downtown West Jefferson. Easy to get to from Raleigh and Charlotte, where our group was coming from. Incredible mountain views from the front porch and the hot tub, both of which proved key to my recovery the following morning! 'Cute cabin right on Helton Creek. We enjoyed the hot tub on the porch listening to the water cascade over the rocks in the creek. We spent most of our time outside on the porch or exploring the creek. Really relaxing and peaceful. The owners were very quick to reply to our question regarding the hot tub.
