« We booked the best suite in the hotel—a lake-view room. Between the bedroom and the bathroom, the ceiling tiles were damaged. The AC was extremely loud, like a helicopter landing each time it started. The bedsheets and pillows smelled moldy. Thankfully it was just one night, but I won’t stay in Lakeland again. « It was great for the one night I was there. Right next to a big mall with lots of restaurants and a movie theater. Room was great and the helpful front desk staff were very friendly. « The room itself smelled like stale smoke, HOWEVER, the view was amazing! We were assigned a room on the lake and it was so lovely. The lake was full of more birds than I had ever seen (egrets, ibises, heron, ducks). The front desk professional was nice and helpful. The room was large. For a cheap hotel, we got our money's worth. If not for the lake and birds, I would have probably thought that it was a kinda crappy hotel but cheap for the price. The stunning scenery made it 5 stars...
