Located in the Kitzbuhel neighborhood of the historic Acres of Jay NY, this property is not your average camp (we know - we own the 3200 square foot chalet across the street! Those listing numbers are as follows: 1399857 The Chalet at Jay; 1386540 The Main Chalet in Jay; 1215090 Pine Loft at Jay Chalet. Ask us about them!!!).

For this property, we did a play on the Kitzbuhel ski mountains of Austria. We used a Nordic / Scandi style for this house based off of our travels to Austria, Switzerland, Swiss Alps, Germany and Iceland but all the while staying true to our LOVE of the Adirondacks ADK! Quiet, Cozy, and Close to Everything You Need

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy winter retreat! The location is perfect—tucked away in the forest, offering a peaceful and secluded atmosphere while still being conveniently close to everything we needed. The cabin was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, making our stay comfortable and hassle-free.Its proximity to Whiteface Mountain was a huge plus, allowing for easy access to skiing and other winter activities. At the same time, having a grocery store nearby made it easy to stock up on essentials. The interior was warm and inviting, creating the perfect ambiance for a relaxing winter getaway.Overall, an excellent place to stay for anyone looking for a quiet, well-equipped, and beautifully located winter retreat. We would definitely return!

Summer Vacation Stay at Wagner's Camp

Great location, away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to civilization including Whiteface and Lake Placid. Very good information as to local stores and things to do. Great place and would stay here again if we have the opportunity.

Perfect Cabin

The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood and you are surrounded by lovely green trees. Our group utilized the fire pit, which was a lot of fun. The cabin itself is super cute and cozy and has everything you need. We also utilized the large deck every morning with our coffee.

Excellent Stay

We loved everything about our trip! The house was excellent. It was clean, had plenty of space for all of us and had everything we needed to cook at the house. We especially loved the area. After debating between here and the Saranac Lake area, I’m so glad we chose here. The views of the mountains while driving around were spectacular and it’s so close Whiteface. We would definitely return to this great property again!

Nothing eclipsed our stay!

Our stay to view the totality of the eclipse on 4/8/24 was outstanding. The clouds cooperated and the view from the deck was perfect to watch the moon's slow march across the face of the sun - and then to be plunged into darkness surrounded by the trees and mountains was otherworldly. The house was neat, clean, and had everything we wanted or needed. Marty and Melissa were the perfect hosts with super easy and fast communication. We would love to stay again even without an eclipse!

Great place and location !!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Exactly as advertised and warm and cozy after skiing. It’s 15 minutes to Whiteface Mountain, 5 minutes to a small supermarket and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place!!

Girls Hiking Weekend

This camp was the perfect size for our group of 5. We loved the dining table, the cozy living room, and the beds were so comfy. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to find all the gear. I recommend staying here for a get away weekend!

Great location!

Came for a long weekend. Very impressed with how clean the cabin was & with the thoughtful extras like hand sanitizer & lovely hand soaps, shampoo/conditioner & moisturizer in both bathrooms. Quiet location but close & scenic drive to Lake Placid, Whiteface & Ausable Chasm. A bathroom for the 2 upstairs bedrooms might be nice for larger families but the bathrooms on the 1st floor & basement were sufficient for us. Communication with owners was great! We hated to leave & would definitely rent again!!

Wonderful Chalet in the Adirondacks!

Our group of 7 enjoyed our stay here so much - we hated to leave! The property has everything you could possibly need for a perfect getaway. All of the rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. Great communication from the host. Easy to get to Whiteface Mountain, Lake Placid and Au Sable Chasm. Would definitely stay again when visiting the area!

Great Stay All Around

Excellent mountain cabin if you’re looking to get a remote-feeling stay while still be near major amenities (towns, Whiteface mountain, etc.) in the Adirondacks. Melissa is a polite, responsive, and very accommodating host. The property is well maintained and clean, with a well equipped kitchen, lots of things to keep you occupied, and modern furnishings. Common space is on the smaller side but the rooms are spacious enough and the goal in the mountains should be to get outside! One thing to note - when coming in the winter, local roads and the driveway really require 4WD as snow and ice can be challenging.

Awesome Stay

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Tons of room to spread out and enjoy. Very clean and comfortable! And the best Plow Driver in all of NY! Came to our rescue at 7am when we needed to be out the door for a race! Awesome stay! Great Hosts!
