'Many trafic a lot of noise'

'A very pleasant one night stay in a very comfortable standard room. Tea making facilities were welcomed and the Hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the station. Buffet breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. The building itself is a lovely historical place and we had a peaceful nights sleep. Bathroom was modern with a great sized shower. '

'The whole experience at the hotel was fantastic. The food was good, room was clean , the bed was comfy, the area is quiet and the staff were excellent. Ideal stop off for travelling from North to South.'

'On arrival was told restaurant was closed due to a private function. A telephone call would have been appreciated so we could sort out our meals. Also listed as a hotel and was actually a very loud pub.'

'3 nights in late July. Hotel is a great place to stay to experience the Lake District, not far from Ambleside but remote enough to feel like you are really in nature. Staff and breakfast were excellent. Walk up to Stickle Tarn was a good test with a couple of scrambly bits but well worth it once you got there.'
