'This is a wonderful property with lots of historic charm and stunning scenery right on the doorstep! I stayed 4 nights and Karen really looked after me; delicious cooked breakfast each morning and a newly lit fire in the evenings to sit beside. She gave me a tour of her gorgeous garden and introduced me to her feathered friends; the chickens, cockerel and pheasant as well as her lovely dogs. Her knowledge of the house and area is really insightful and Karen was more than happy to advise where...

'Amazing cooked to order breakfasts! Loads of choices. Warm and friendly welcome from Rich and Ada. They gave great suggestions on places to visit. Room was comfortable with everything you needed for a short break in a convenient location to explore that part of the Lake District. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The free access to the local spa was a lovely bonus after all the walking! Would highly recommend and would gladly visit again.'
