This house did not meet our expectations unfortunately. We did enjoy some aspects - it was clean, they let us check in early, the kitchen was well-stocked and the pool table in the game room was a bonus. The view of the lake was gorgeous. The cons: It is not four bedrooms - it's only three. The top "two" bedrooms are not separated - they are connected and only semi-private from each other. It's more like a sleeping loft with a stair case in the middle. The lake is not swimmable from the dock (unless you want to fight through a ton of lily pads, which are pretty but unpleasant and difficult to swim through). One person from our group messaged ahead of our stay and was told it is swimmable, but I can't imagine anyone swimming in the water at that section of the lake. There isn't a public beach at Lake Ariel, so we drove 20 minutes to Lake Wallenpaupack to swim. We did use the dock to go out on the canoe.The shower was so small I bumped my elbows when washing my hair, and it was difficult for me to bathe my two year old as there is very little space and no tub.Overall I felt the listing could be more transparent, and my group was really bummed about not being able to swim off the dock.
