The staff was rude and very slow. The first room we were given the bed was rumpled and the pillows were piled together with no pillowcases. The second room we were shown, the air conditioner did not work. We settled on the third row. My husband stepped on a screw in the floor and there was no battery in the smoke alarm. When we went to take a shower, there was no shower curtain. There were fans in the hallways and lobby area because the air conditioner wasnât working.
The pretend manager at the location was wearing the same old t-shirt and jeans for over a week, we had to switch rooms due to roller and bath tub being clogged, we book to stay longer due to the cheaper rate only reason we stayed and the dates were incorrect and when the location was asked to assist they said they couldnât do anything about it and there reservations were booked but to cancel through the way cheaper 3rd party and reserve through them directly paying almost 150!dollars more, breakfast was falsely advertised because they just didnât want to wake up and do the job so they had toast and a waffle machine but no protein according to them which is a cheap way of saying no breakfast
My stay at the Quality Inn was good. It is an older building and it does offer a breakfast, but the cost of eggs meant no hot food. Although I did see a waffle maker so you could probably have that. There was cereal and milk, some yogurt but no fresh fruits. Lamar is a small enough town that it is easy to get around and there are plenty of options. If you want a five-star experience go elsewhere, but if you just need a good nights sleep then the Quality Inn fits the bill.
