'Fully stocked kitchen for cooking - best ever!House was warm ( it was cold outside) when we entered , backwards of usual rentals- had to ask how to turn it down lol!Host got out kayaks from storage for us to use which we appreciated very much . Only complaint was we did not know the hot tub was already turned off for the season. Sauna was great!This was a great place to stay away from Houghton but still good for traveling to multiple sites in the area.'

'Found these cottages by chance & we’re so grateful. It seemed that EVERY other place was booked; required multiple night stays, or would not allow pets. Our request was granted promptly thru VRBO, as usual. Admittedly, it was strange not having a hotel clerk to admit us, but we were used to it w VRBO. 'The cabin was cute, very outdoorsy but really cool. We tried to count all the bears in the cabin, we never could come up with an actual count. We looked all around in our adventure to the north for a bear to add and could not find one. Really nice place. The traffic was a bit much the first night but we got used to it. 'Beautiful view of the lake in winter! Perfect location to Nordic ski and skijor at Tech Trails and Swedetown. The internet service was unusually strong for the UP. We were able to stream multiple devices at the same time. Great communication with the owner, including during a blizzard. We were warm and had power. Thank you for the wonderful memories. '
