We booked the Plumeria House for a week during the Christmas holiday 2025 for a family trip that included 12 of us - two grandparents, two sets of parents, three grown grandchildren, two with significant others, and a five-year old grandchild. The house was perfect. Although we initially had to negotiate room arrangements, it all worked out reasonably well for everyone. The house is beautiful with everything we needed for cooking, having pool-side barbecues, lounging around and in the pool, and going to the beach. The owner provided an excess of towels, bedding, pool and beach equipment/toys, and cooking and dining supplies. The house is also perfectly situated. Poipu Beach is close by, a very easy 10 minute walk, as is the walkway/trail along the ocean. Koloa Town is only a couple of minutes drive and Lihue is 20-30 minutes away depending on the traffic. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. Everyone in our group loved the house and its location. The only suggestion we would make concerns the room downstairs with the futons. Although the grandkids who stayed in that room did not complain, having a couple of real beds with new mattresses would have been ideal. Nevertheless, we were all extremely pleased with the rental and would rent it again in an instant for a return visit.
