'Perfect if you're just in Koh Tao for the diving and you don't want to stay in a resort. Everything's on the doorstep and just a short walk to the pier. The studio room was good value with comfy sofa and enormous fridge. I only stayed one night just to get a feel for the area, and it's nice and quiet after 10pm, bustling during the day. Do try the massage in their spa across the road, so good.'

'Pros- amazing view, very quiet at night, beautiful apartment and bathroom. Cons- VERY steep hill to get there. Lots of lizards, bugs (what looked like cockroaches but smaller) and spiders inside, and lots of mosquitos outside. Annoying because I really wanted to sit out on the balcony more but the amount of mosquitos meant I couldn’t so just beware! 'Bedden waren van steen. WiFi was slecht en de airco was duur. Kon via hotels.com geen kamer met airco kiezen. Bij aankomst was er wel airco tegen betaling. Vragen de hoofdprijs en proberen je nog te naaien ook. Alleen de locatie is goed en de ruimte in de kamer'

'we struggled checking in as hotels.com hadn't sent an email to the hotel however the receptionist was very very helpful. even though hotels.com took over 30 mins t call the hotel to deal with the situation the receptionist was extremely patient and helpful'

'If you want to hear motorbikes until 3 am at night and children shouting at 1 am or 7 am it is a good place. I will never come back to this guesthouse. Horrible. '

'We really loved this hotel! Breakfast every morning was wonderful and the family that runs the hostel is so kind and helpful. The only downside is that it is a 15 minute walk (downhill) to the beach and uphill back to the hotel. We didn’t really mind as we usually packed a day bag and only made one trip there and back each day. My one other comment would be that we were in the room right next to the road and it could get quite noisy at night/during the day with bikes going up and down the hill....

'Hele goede tijd gehad hier. Echt hele grote kamers met koelkast, 2 wastafels en nog een extra zithoek. Beste matras die ik heb gehad in Thailand. Heel erg vriendelijk personeel. Wassen super goedkoop. Ze beheren zelf ook een minisupermarkt. Wat erg handig was. Gratis gebruik van strandhanddoeken. Kortom alles is er. Het ligt wel 10 minuten lopen van het strand. Dat is een klein nadeel. Dus als je echt aan het strand wilt zitten zal ik dit niet doen. Maar of je daar voor hetzelfde geld zo'n kamer...

'Bro & Sis place is an excellent stay for a few nights, so close to piers you can see when your boat to leave docks. Surprisingly quiet, nice to hear the waves day and night though. The host is very accommodating, we extended our stay for more diving time with no problem. Rooms are very clean and modern, beds are super comfy if you like it a little firm. AC works well, sea view is amazing for sunsets, hot water takes a bit to warm up but gets there eventually. Safe and fridge are a very handy...

'The staff always made me feel welcome and comfortable. The room was excellent; clean, stocked, comfortable bed and functioning a/c. If I needed help or direction it was always given, including first aid when needed! The location was close to everything but it was not at all noisy. Overall Utopia House was an excellent choice for my stay on Koh Tao and I would highly recommend it to other travellers.'

'We decided to stay two more nights. Hard to find better value for money on koh tao. Stylish b&b with great breakfast and very close to the beach. Balcony with the room is a nice extra. WiFi is not working perfectly and there are roosters that could wake you up in the morning, but those were the only two negatives we could find.'

'Dit is een basic guesthouse, op wandelafstand van de ferry pier van Koh Tao. Onze kamer was basic ingericht, maar wel proper. De matras was erg hard, zoals bijna overal in Thailand. Onze kamer had airconditioning, die wel zijn nut bewees. De douche bevindt zich vlak langs het toilet in dezelfde ruimte, waardoor de ganse vloer nat wordt. De eigenaars van dit guesthouse zijn erg vriendelijk. '

'Fantastic stay at The Plantation. Stunning views and a feeling of seclusion. A little walk up the hill but not too arduous to afford you the elevated position. '

'This stay was a dream. All the villas have private pools and kitchens. The bed was superb and the villa fantastic. You have a great degree of privacy and cannot see into the other villas. The owner Guy was very nice, great communication and arranged ferry tickets, snorkeling tour, and motor scooter all payable at the end of the stay. Highly recommend this place! '
