« From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

« I embrace historic charm and quirkiness; what I donât like are doors to bathrooms and bedrooms that donât shut properly and lack of cleaning.
The bedroom was described as deluxe double but there is nothing deluxe about it. The carpet was stained and had not been vacuumed recently as evidenced by dead flies and numerous bits. The door to the bedroom could not be properly closed and there was no lock. Iâm not sure why this couldnât be rectified as the door frames seemed relatively new and...

Lovely well stocked bar area.
Fabulous breakfast.
Very clean.

We stayed as we were attending a wedding so didnât really explore much but what we saw was very nice.
Bedrooms were basic but this was obviously reflected in the price. Teas and coffee were well stocked in the room and had a good variety.
