The condo was clean, and well-equipped and the location was awesome. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. Check-in/check-out was a breeze and communication with the property management company made the entire process super easy.I highly recommend staying at Whitecaps Lakefront Lookout and will definitley book the condo again!
We had a great time please was super clean and it was centrally located walking distance to town and food. The one thing that was not great was communication with the property manager. I contacted them 24 hours before check in and check out to request early check in and late check out the response was very slow and office was closed for the weekend. Very hard to get a hold of.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whitecaps. Our only regret was that the weather, while reasonably pleasant for the time of year, was a little to cool and breezy to allow us to enjoy the great deck at the property.
The unit was well stocked with incidental items we needed and was comfortable and well situated.
We stayed for two nights. The view is spectacular and the unit was wonderful. Everything was clean and the unit is in very good condition. We were very comfortable and had a great time.
The location, right on the beach was amazing!! Property was very clean and comfortable. As mentioned in previous reviews showers were small so trying to bathe small kids is a challenge. We've stayed in Kings Beach a few times and wish there were a few more restaurant choices within walking distance. Whitecaps Pizza right next door was great, and Java Hut as well. We would definitely stay here again!
Great place to stay, so close to the beach at the lake. Everything we needed was there including beach towels, beach chairs, even inflatable rings to float on the lake! Great service too.
This is a great condo right on the beach, beautiful view. Nice and clean, perfect for 2 couples. You can walk to everything. Great location. We will definitely stay here again.
Wonderful stay! Place was neat and clean, comfortable beds, showers a bit too tight. Nice waking up to beautiful views and enjoy our coffee in the mornings out in the balcony. Prime location close to everything. Will definitely book again when we make our way back to Tahoe.
My daughters and I came to Lake Tahoe to celebrate my oldestâs 40th birthday.
The place was just perfect for us!
The bathrooms donât have much vanity space and the showers are quite small, but we are pretty little people so it worked great!
Loved the location!
We loved our stay at this condo- steps away from the beach, great restaurants and shops all in walking distance. The condo was very cute- super clean, comfortable, and stocked with all the amenities we needed. Great space and outdoor deck space to enjoy the lake!
Loved the closeness of the property to the lake, mountains, pizza and coffee! The property was spacious and kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms are a little tight but the view more than makes up for it. We will def stay here again!
This property offers amazing views of the lake from the deck and easy access to the beach. The location is great and the pizza place next door is awesome. The one thing to be aware is that the showers are really small (probably 2.5ft wide) but was very clean. It worked ok for us but something to consider for others. The property itself was well kept and the property management firm was very accommodating and coordinating was easy.
Excellent spot to stay for a ski vacation. Very close to an excellent restaurant, ski rental location, grocery store and pharmacy. Spectacular view of the lake in winter. Highly recommended for location and host, and we are picky!
We very much enjoyed our stay! The view is spectacular from the living room and porch! It was so nice and convenient to also have a coffee house and pizza joint within walking distance! The place was well kept and we didnât have any issues at all. Highly recommend this for your Tahoe stay! Thank you so much!
We stayed at Whitecaps #4 for our kid's ski week break. What an amazing place. Honestly - the photos do not do this rental justice. First, the apartment is bigger than it appears in the photos. Second - it's equipped with plenty of fuzzy blankets to keep cozy. Third - I had never seen a thermostat controlled fireplace before and it's simply the most wonderful thing. Fourth - the location and local eateries! My goodness, we had delicious coffee and bagel sandwiches at Java Hut in the very same building every single morning and we had world-class pizza at Whitecaps next door every other night. Also there's literally nothing between this apartment and the beach - making for incredible evening sunset walks and a living room view that is mesmerizing at all times. The only thing I would be wary of would be evening noise during the summer from beach goers and the outdoor patio from Whitecaps next door. In the wintertime this unit is very quiet - with the most noise coming from the snow plows which seem to start up in the 3am hour. Another note is I don't know exactly what the owner's family's historical connection to the Steamer Tahoe is (a beautiful old ship that serviced the lake last century) - but the apartment walls are decorated with incredible old photos and memorabilia from the ship - very interesting and tasteful. The kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of tupperware and spices and a couple of pantry basics - but you will definitely be making several trips to the Safeway about a mile down the road to stock up - especially if you are a tea drinker (there is a coffee maker but no kettle). The laundry room is really nice and complete with a boot dryer. The master room has a huge walk-in closet to stash your luggage. The only minor complaint is that the two bathrooms are snug - but they are adequate - and the towels were clean and fluffy. Commuting to Northstar twice daily to drop off and pick up from ski school was fine in good weather, but got tricky in snowy conditions - we were driving a 2 wheel drive with cables and after a week of driving the cables broke! Once the highway was closed due to the storm and we had to take the long way around - about an hour drive. There is dedicated parking for one vehicle at the building, but no charging available for electric cars. Finally, we had great and responsive communication with Tahoe Moon the property management company. We would definitely consider staying here again.
We spent 4 nights here over New Years. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. I think it would be a great place to stay any time of year. Absoutely loved the views, fireplace, and proximity to restaurants, stores, etc. It was very cozy. The property management company was also very easy to deal with. The bathrooms are very small but the pros outweighed that con.
The property has an amazing location, no doubt about it. The apartment itself is comfortable and well equipped with the things you would expect to find in a well run vacation rental, from towels/linens and soap/shampoo to stuff in the kitchen to make simple meals. The heating worked well. It was also quiet, despite being near the main road and close to a pizza shop.
We had one hitch, where the deadbolt on the door would slip against the locking mechanism, preventing you from being able to lock or unlock the door from outside, as the case may be. We notified the property manager, and they were on it right away. They addressed the issue quickly, and even gave us something by way of compensation for the inconvenience. Given that they jumped on the problem right away and were sensitive to the inconvenience caused, I am willing to give them the full 5 stars.
The location couldn't have been more beautiful. Full view of Lake Tahoe and Mountains on East and South Shore, walk right out to the beach. Great restaurants close by and with in walking distance. Would highly recommend
