I bought a neutralizing spray and used it every time we entered and exited. It helped a little. Beds were comfortable. We were cold the first night because I didn't know right away how to adjust the thermostat. Shower was new and nice. We arrived in the dark and there was a couple of "scary" people on the front steps. It felt safer in the daylight. '

I checked in and the clerk was friendly; people complained about no elevator but it's only a 2-story hotel so there isn't really a need. If steps are an issue, I'm sure they could make sure you're on the first floor or you could request it when you make a reservation. My room (2nd floor) was clean I had no problem with it at all.
