The Old Nest Vacation Waterfront Home

You deserve the comfort of a 5-bedroom home within walking distance from town. You deserve one of the largest porches on Kelleys Island with a beautiful lakefront view.

The Old Nest has been in our family for over 100 years and we welcome our guests to share in our piece of heaven. When staying at The Old Nest, you have access to several nature trails on a private 9-acre estate as well as the convenience of being close to town and the Kelleys Island Ferry.

Peaceful and tranquil retreat

Great little spot overlooking the lake. Coffee on the porch in the mornings, nightcap on the bench just on the edge of shore (see pic). A great little retreat to refresh and recharge. “Just bring your luggage” as the host expressed as everything needed and requested was furnished and available. Looking forward to working with, and booking with again. Much appreciated!

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED staying at The Old Nest! The cozy feeling home was spacious, clean, warm and welcoming. You can feel the love and laughter that is still echoing through out the home from generations past of a family that once called it their private home. The view was breathtaking from a very large porch adorned with comfy old fashioned porch swings! As sunset, we enjoyed sitting by the edge of the lake with a little fire in the fire pit. A quick 5 minute walk to downtown made it very easy for our family of 6 adults and 3 little ones, 2 and under, to get to. Amanda was very easy to communicate with. Just can’t say enough about how special this home is…

Annual girls trip to KI.

I believe we have stayed at the Crow's Nest for 4 years. My Aunts, Sisters & cousins all go for a weekend in the spring. We love the home, the cleanliness, spaciousness & the location. The only things we would recommend are that there was a very bad storm the first night we were there. The shutters on the front of the house were banging pretty bad (just don't want you to get damage to your home). The only other thing the girls mentioned is that the lighting in the dining area/ living area is low. It was difficult to see at night (we play games in there). Thank you for opening your home once again to us. It is a piece of paradise right here in Ohio. Can't wait till next year!

Great spot!

Location was perfect. It is a challenge finding a house with enough space for 4-5 couples to stay comfortably on the island. This place was able to accommodate my siblings and their spouses with a good amount of space. It’s like an old farm house, reminds me of my grandparents family home. There are some random spiders and things, so if you aren’t accustomed to country living it may not be the spot for you. Overall It was a clean home and comfortable enough for the 3 couples and two singles that could make the trip this year. We would stay here again.
