Our beautiful one-acre lush tropical paradise is located south of Hilo and near Kea'au and Pahoa Villages in the rainforest..
The studio apt. is upstairs has a great deck to view garden. Follow sidewalks to Tropical gardens at back of house,coconut palms, orchids , anthuriums and lush tropical plants.
A piece of paradise to call home while you are on the Big Island. Go to sleep with frogs chirping and stars so bright you could almost touch them. Wake up to birds singing and complimentary Hawaiian coffee . Pamper yourself, shower in our collected rainwater.
Automatic quotes for 1 bedroom are for 1-2 guest.
We live on property behind the rental.
Please read house rules in apt. It is customary to remove shoes upon entering the apt.

Tropical paradise
Beautiful villa in Hilo, we came for world paddling sprints and the location of this property was ideal for our needs. The property had everything one needed compact for two people and we enjoyed Netflix binging in the evening. Our host Kepi was a beautiful knowledgeable lady who made us most welcome. Lovely stay
Clean, comfortable. The owner is friendly but not intrusive. The landscaping is amazing! Just what we needed, close to our family who live in the area, plenty to explore on this side of the island. We didn’t use the mini kitchen but it was there if we needed (microwave, blender, rice cooker, etc). Great value for the price!

This was a little piece of heaven in a jungle setting. Our little room was perfect for the two of us. The manager Leanne was super responsive to my emails. I would totally recommend this place and stay here again.

Mitten in der Natur
Uns hat die Unterkunft sehr gefallen. Dies lag vor allem daran, dass man mitten in der Natur ist und es einfach total grün ist. Der Garten ist sehr schön. Die Terasse ist klasse, dort kann man super essen, während Vögel und Geckos da sind. Zu erwähnen ist auch, dass es nachts Geräusche durch Frösche gibt, was wir klasse fanden, aber sehr laut ist und es dahwr ggf Personen geben könnte, die dies stört. Einziger negativer Punkt: es ist nichts fußläufig oder schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen, wenn man zB essen gehen will oder zum Supermarkt will. Daher aus unserer Sicht für ein paar Tage ohne Küche vollkommen okay, bei längerem Aufenthalt bietet sich eher einer der Wohnungen mit Küche an, aber das ist Typsache.

Beautiful private spot. Easy to get to, but away from most traffic. It is apparent the hosts enjoy people and making them comfortable. Lovely paintings done by the hostess. Most of the grounds are gorgeous gardens with beautiful evening lights. This is the cleanest place we stayed on the entire island. Pride is taken in every way. Highly recommend

Loved Kepi’s place!
Easy check in, warm welcome and beautiful garden/jungle view from our upstairs studio room. Kepi and Jim are sweet, loving people and very accommodating! We wished we could have stayed here for our entire time on the big island! They have 4 rental units, so I encourage you to reach out to them for other options if the unit you are considering is not available for your entire stay…..we wish we had! Kepi and Jim provided great recommendations on spots to see (and were able to re-direct us from an outdated guide book……several places we planned on exporting were closed due to lava flows) great restaurants and helped us plan our trip to achieve the wishes of our vacation. We hope to return to this beautiful accommodation someday in the near future!

Location is perfect for those who want to be outside of the city and still easily access attractions/cultural landmarks. Breakfast on the patio was a treat. The garden was fun to explore. Definitely a place to consider when visiting Hilo.

Wonderful get away. Cute little apartment. Great hosts. There if you need them but not if you don't. Only complaint is thin walls. Had some chatty neighbors one night but that's not the hosts' fault. Mahalo!

Cozy and Comfortable
This property is a multi-apartment building with varying sized units. This particular room is small, but clean and comfortable. There is no air conditioning but a powerful fan is provided. It is located in a residential neighborhood. We had hoped for a self-service washer and dryer, as the description says laundry, but the host does the wash for a $6 charge per load. The unit is located under another unit and we could hear the upstairs neighbors moving about their room. We were awoken by squeaking floors along with barking dogs and roosters from the neighborhood. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Affordable Jungle Retreat
This property is as advertised. It's a lovely little studio with jungle foliage on the rainy side of the island and it does rain but not all day. You can easily wait a bit and it clears or drive a bit to the sun. Lots of attention to detail in this place. I loved the lights on the trees at night, the art work, the gardens. You can hear the people in the other units but it wasn't usually an issue as people mostly come back to sleep. The night critters are noisy and we loved that. It was our white noise to fall asleep to. Bring ear plugs or a white noise machine if you don't like the sound. There's a barbecue for use, fridge and microwave in the room, coffee pot and coffee and you can borrow beach chairs, snorkeling equipment and boogie boards. A pair of geckos kept me company on the adorable deck. It's a 5 mile drive to Paradise Cliffs where you can see the sunrise in the morning and whales in the afternoon from the lava made cliffs. This unit is in a small condo building. There's bigger units as well if you need something larger. I wouldn't want to do longer than a week in this one personally unless I was traveling solo. The bed was very comfortable! I recommend this place.
