Overpriced in July â Clean Towels, But Not Much Else
We stayed here in June for âŹ200 for two nights, and for that price, it was acceptable. The room was clean, and the white towels and linens were fresh and neat. If youâre just looking for a clean place to sleep, it does the job.
But we originally wanted to stay in July, and the price then jumps to âŹ1900 for three nights â which is absolutely insane for what you actually get.
Hereâs what to expect (or not expect) at that price:
No linen change during a 2-night stay â youâre using the same sheets from check-in to check-out.
Amenities are neglected: the barbecue area is dirty, and outside furniture like tables, chairs, and cups are broken and gathering dust. If you drink American coffee, you're given a plastic cup and a stir stick â but no spoon to scoop the grounds.
The toaster looks like it hasnât been cleaned in centuries.
And then thereâs the mini-bar situation:
âŹ1 for a 500ml bottle of water not even cold
âŹ4 for a mini tube of off-brand chips passed off as âPringlesâ â not the real thing, and definitely not full-sized.
Even being near the racetrack doesnât justify this kind of pricing. At nearly âŹ700 per night, youâre not getting anything beyond basic cleanliness â and even that stops short of decent service.
Final verdict: The towels may be clean, but the experience isnât worth the price tag. At these rates, you can â and should â find somewhere far better.
