Du très bon et du moins bon
Bon hôtel en général mais questions nourriture c’est pas génial le service au bar est moyen dès que l’on veut un cocktail La chambre est plutôt sympa sauf celle qui sent le tabac froid et celles qui sont mal isolées au niveau des fenêtres sinon le personnel est très agréable le petit déjeuner est aussi très bien

Good hotel which would need nicer reception staff
Being a regular customer of the village hotel in Edinburgh i was expecting the same standards, i was wrong, this hotel is way older and would need new furnitures. staff at checkin and checkout didn’t seem interested in helping me changing details on the invoice, not rude but complete disinterest toward the customer. That being said the hotel is clean, food is good and i had a huge tv on a champions league night, i might have talked to the wrong person who was definitely not made for customer service. Location is not the best to go in city centre but close to exits

Great stay but pool staff very strick with time children can use pool. They class children has 16 and under 😬. Lucky the times worked well for us. But be careful and plan ahead.

Breakfast was not very good. Bacon and sausages were not as good as Premier Inn does. The coffee tasted bad too.

Average, a little overpriced for what it is
No sockets in the room apart from at the table so nowhere to charge phone during the night. Breakfast was pretty average, no choice in the continental. Generally don’t like fitness and spa open to public in hotels. Seemed extremely busy with people just walking and out the hotel.

Welcoming Stay
I have recently stayed at the Village in Hull for personal reasons and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. During my stay it was my birthday and they went above and beyond, they tried to make it special for me under difficult personal circumstances and succeeded. They decorated my room with a banner, balloons and left me a drinks voucher in a card. Before my birthday I also received free gym access and a couple of vouchers for Starbucks, they made me feel part of the Village family. Thank you Josh and team for trying to make the best of a difficult time for me.

Nice Hotel
The hotel was clean but showed signs of wear and tare. Staff we friendly and offered advice when asked. Overall a pleasant stay and could stay here again.

The property is nice, my bed sheet smells a bit weird and also, the kettle in the room is very dirty and I couldn't use it to make a cup of tea for my self.

Awful room walls like paper hear everything from room next door . Doors banging shut till gone 3 in the morning people going in and out of each others rooms laughing and dancing in the corridor. When staff appeared at 3 to knock on next doors door re a noise complaint the person in the room shouting and swearing which carried on long after staff member left. I mentioned it at check out was given a free coffee as compensation and told to complete the survey

On the whole our stay was good and issue free. Clean room, however l noticed this morning that the duvet inside the cover has definitely seen better days. Looked tatty and well used. I would like to think that this will be looked into and corrected

For the money, this does not represent value for money. Nice room, but bathrooms becoming dated. Cleanliness not great - pubic hairs around base of toilet, and the carpet had clearly not been hoovered in quite a while. Got the room cheaper than usual, but would not be happy had I paid the rates I usually see this hotel at. Good WiFi.

Good but noisy
Firstly the check in was very good. Helpful member of staff available and quick check in process. Room was clean but the bathtub unfortunately not. Swimming pool area was great and kids loved it. Main reason for marking it down was the noise. Rooms seemed to have very little sound proofing so could hear people in hallway opening and closing doors and talking most the night. For balance they may have just been noisy guests but it didn’t make for a restful night.

Disappointing room, unexpected additional charges
The hotel is very run of the mill and could use a refurbishment in the bedrooms, ageing furniture and soft furnishings, aged bathroom with enamel missing off the bath. The cost of staying here though is quite eye watering for an out of town hotel. On top of that although it is situated on an industrial estate and has a huge car park, I had to pay £5 to park my car overnight. The hotel does have a super large swimming pool although to use that, I had to pay an additional £5. I really felt this was quite outrageous considering I had already paid more than £150 to stay in an extremely mediocre and outdated twin room. The hot water was tepid, and not even any biscuits with the tea/coffee (no decaf either). Breakfast is the usual serve yourself which is fine. However, having made myself a pot of tea to drink after my cereal, I left the table for 2 minutes to fetch toast, only to return and find the whole lot cleared away before I even had a chance to pour it!! If hotels are going to implement this serving style they need to be more attentive. Not the best start to the day after an already less than fabulous check in and bedroom experience..

Great hotel, rooms are very hot though
Great hotel however the rooms are extremely hot, the room is like walking into a sauna. The food was great, bed was comfortable, just didn’t help not sleeping due to the heat (it wasn’t even that hot outside, it was a very rainy night)

Lovely relaxed stay
Fabulous friendly check in and check out. Twin beds move about when you roll over they could to be stabilised. Friendly restaurant staff but food options were limited no flavoured yogurts and only scrambled eggs. Stayed for my 50th birthday and the room was decorated up and a birthday card with a free drinks voucher which was a lovely touch, very much appreciated. Thank you for making it special
