BEDROOMS ARE MADE WITH COMFORT IN MIND

Four beautiful themed bedrooms await you. The upstairs bedrooms have high definition televisions with free Xfinity Cable--just in case you need some quiet time away from friends and family. All four bedrooms have top quality king mattresses and WIRELESS PHONE CHARGERS on each night stand. The master bedroom (the HOLLAND room) has an en-suite with double sink and large rainfall shower with high windows and skylights. All shades in the master bedroom are controlled by remote controls. The MACATAWA and SAUGATUCK rooms have beautiful windows and furnishings. A full bathroom lies between these two bedrooms. The WOODLAND room in the den/ basement has a beautiful view of the surrounding woods. The bonus room has a twin over twin bunk bed. Another full bathroom is located between WOODLAND and the bonus room. Finally, 2 portable memory foam twin mattresses with linens are available if needed.

LAUNDRY IS NO PROBLEM

Although you are on vacation to relax sometimes you just need to run a quick load of laundry. We installed 2 washers and 2 dryers to help alleviate the congestion of a large group.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

We provide for all guests a two car garage with garage door openers! There is also ample parking in the driveway for additional vehicles should you need more space.

FUN STUFF TO DO? OF COURSE--IT'S HOLLAND!

The things we love the most about this home, besides the house itself, are the local accommodations. We have two full wooded acres and a stream in the far back of the property. Lots of wildlife, especially turkey, squirrels, deer, and woodpeckers, make our two acres their home. Walk up the street for a few hundred feet and you will find Sanctuary woods, a nature preserve with trails and bridges. In addition, there is a bike path directly in front of our home. You will see joggers and bikers and people walking their dogs most of the day. The bike trail network in the Holland area is extensive and runs for many many miles in all directions. Bike rentals are available locally, and the marina is just a one minute drive north. There you can rent slips for even very large boats that you can take directly onto Lake Macatawa, or even Lake Michigan, which is just a stone's throw away from the shipyard. A boat rental company is adjacent to the shipyard. There you can rent boats (of all types), paddle boards, kayaks and more. Lake Michigan has limited public access sites, so we are fortunate to be a mere 6 minutes from Laketown Beach. A little drive will get you to larger parks--Saugatuck Dunes, Oval Beach, or Holland State Park. You can get to beautiful downtown 8th street Holland in less than 14 minutes and quaint downtown Saugatuck also in 14 minutes. Both places have fantastic restaurants and shopping. Plenty of Room for everyone!!

My extended family stayed at this lovely home in June of 2025. The house was immaculate and everyone was comfortable. The house included 4 bedrooms with all King beds and a set of bunkbeds. The adults and children had there own space which was perfect.The kitchen has high end appliances and an extra fridge in the garage. If you are looking to stay in the Holland - Saugautuck area this is a real winner.

Tranquility Meets Convenience

This was one of the best houses we’ve had the pleasure of renting. The hosts clearly thought of everything you may need during your stay. The home was spacious to provide moments of peacefulness and places to gather for family time. We enjoyed hiking Sanctuary Woods a few steps north from the home, and riding our bikes towards town. A 5 minute drive to Laketown Beach yielded a fabulous spot for sunset watching atop the dunes. Overall, this property is in a great location, terrifically scenic, and full of modern amenities to make your vacation great—we would love to return!

Great Place!

We had a wonderful stay at the Holland Luxury Retreat. Jayne was great and provided a welcome book in advance of our visit with recommendations. Great location, really well thought out amenities. Summer Getaway in Michigan

Perfect family retreat home

We stayed at Jaynes home for a family weekend and couldn’t have picked a better spot. Upon arriving, the house was incredibly clean and spacious. The bedrooms all had comfortable beds. The kitchen was stocked with any equipment you could possibly need and we cooked A LOT! The hot tub and fire pit area were excellent touches, especially since our weather wasn’t perfect. It was a 5 minute drive to an easy market for most things we needed. We will be back for sure!

Perfect Getaway

My siblings and our spouses visited Holland in October 2023. The space is perfect for 4 couples to occupy with privacy. The home is exactly as described, and everything you need is there! The owners of the home provide a wonderful guidebook with instructions and reviews of lots of places to eat and visit. The deck and backyard are fabulous. We had rain and didn't get to use them. Amenities galore in a beautiful setting

You will find everything you need for a relaxing get away here. It is well equipped with the comforts of home. The hosts are very communicative, and take great pride in their home and it shows. Our favorite place was the expansive back deck that overlooked the beautiful gardens. Deer and turkey wandered through regularly.

Family vacation

Your home made our family's stay in Holland so perfect! The 4 king bedrooms accommodated our 7-adult family so comfortably! 4 cars- no problem! With AC on, the basement bedroom was much colder than the bedrooms upstairs, so the couple who likes sleeping in coldness took that one! There are twin beds down there for kids too. The rec room in the basement was perfect for later hours my adult kids enjoyed together. 2 large washers & dryers came in handy toward the end of our stay when a few of us needed to wash a few things. Plenty of bathrooms! - never a moment of anyone waiting for a shower, etc. The kitchen was so well equipped, stocked & organized, cooking there was practically effortless! Just bring food! Go to the Farmer's Market early in your stay for amazing produce! The natural gas grill on the deck was very nice for the 2 meals we cooked there. Everything about the back deck was amazing! The view, spaciousness, comfortable & abundant seating. The large table was perfect for our family meals outside. The home's location was convenient! Peacefully off the beaten path of downtown Holland, yet only a few minutes' drive away. Lots of easy parking there! A day trip to the State Park on the north side of the bay was less than 30min drive. Also only a few minutes drive from Naugatuck. So many opportunities for adventure - we didn't get them all in! Mac Adventures is essentially in walking distance & were so friendly for our boat & tube rental. Such a fun time! Thank you!

Wonderful Holland, MI Rental

We chose this home from the pictures and description and everything lived up to and exceeded our expectations. There were 11 of us - grandparents and two daughters’ families. All bedrooms had king beds and upstairs there was a master bedroom with attached bath. The other two upstairs bedrooms shared a hall bathroom. On the lower level, where all the children stayed, there was a bedroom with a king bed and a bunk bed in an alcove. There were also two big folded foam mats with linens in a closet that two of our granddaughters used. Outdoors, the hot tub and fire ring outside were wonderful! The beautiful flowers and walking trails on the property were enjoyed by all. Inside, the kitchen was well appointed and there was a wonderful Kitchen Aid built in ice machine that was very popular. There were many games, DVD’s, a nice coffee table for our puzzle and a lot of good family time! This home is close to Saugatuck and we enjoyed several trips to nearby beaches. Our daughters surprised my husband and I with a 1928 Model A antique car ride for our birthdays this year. The driver took us all over Holland - a highlight of our trip. We would highly recommend this beautiful place where the hosts are very particular and have thought of everything to make their guests’ stay memorable, comfortable and enjoyable.

Roomy, relaxing home

We had a family gathering here. We used 2 of the 3 upstairs bedrooms, plus the bedroom on the lower level so each couple had their own bathroom. All also had king beds, a plus. The arcade game was fun and several people tried out the hot tub. We also had a lovely evening around the gas fire pit. The host was great to work with. She had the most accessible, user friendly booklet and e-wall display with the main information for using appliances and check-out. Very helpful!

A Wonderful Holland Retreat

What an amazing retreat! We (6 Adults, 3 Children) came to the house to celebrate a birthday, and this place was exactly what we wanted and hoped for. Four king beds made the rooms very accessible and comfortable. The basement and outdoor amenities (hot tub!) were very well used. The kitchen and grill were well stocked and ready for our big meal. The house was private and in the shade (which helped with the heat), and close to both Holland and Saugatuck. The check-in display, with the associated videos describing how to use each item, was a nice touch. We all agreed we'd come here again in a heartbeat!

Immaculate with very comfortable beds!

I can't say enough good things about this house! We had plenty of room to spread out both inside and outside the house. We enjoyed the outside areas on the deck and in the hot tub. The house was immaculate, and we all slept well in the king-sized beds with comfy bedding. Having basics such soap, shampoo and conditioner, paper towels and toilet paper provided made a three-day stay easier, too! Communication with the hosts was great. Even though we've visited the area previously, we appreciated the up-to-date restaurant recommendations.

Fantastic Anniversary Trip

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at this beautiful house. It is extremely clean, has wonderful amenities and the owners are super organized. They were amazing hosts and so easy to communicate with. We were looking for a special spot to celebrate my parent's 70th anniversary and we were so happy we made the perfect choice. This home is absolutely gorgeous, completely updated, well appointed, and the location is very convenient. The hot tub, large deck and fire table were fun additions and used frequently!

Just Wonderful

This property is a hidden gem nestled just a few miles from the City of Holland and is strategically located within a short drive of Saugatuck, Fennville, and Grand Haven. It has wonderful amenities with the property, extremely clean, and well maintained. The owners clearly care about their property and have add a few additional touches to enhance your stay. It has four large bedrooms with comfortable beds and a small bunk area if needed. The kitchen is spacious and includes a commercial grade stove. For us the ultimate test is whether we would return and the answer is a resounding -- yes.

We had an amazing weekend trip with family friends. Two families, with 4 adults and 3 children. Plenty of room for all. House had high quality finishes, a beautiful kitchen with nice appliances, plenty of utensils, large beds, a clean hot tub, awesome grill, and everything you could possibly want! We went to the dunes/beach, downtown Saugatauk, Nelis Dutch Village, and downtown Holland. Everything was within about a 10 minute drive. The home owner had excellent communication and made sure we had everything we wanted. Their electronic guide was super helpful! Jayne provided us with recommendations of nearby places to go with the little ones. Overall, we had a 10/10 experience in Holland. Many great memories were made on this trip. So thankful the owners of this property allowed us to use their home.

Spectacular Stay

Our group of six had a wonderful stay at Holland House during our first vacation in Western Michigan. The location is perfect for visits to the beaches, Holland, Saugatuck and more. Check-in, communication, instructions, and condition of the property were exceptional. Thanks for sharing your home!

Family Getaway

Holland Retreat was a perfect home base for our family group exploring the area. The hosts have everything you could possibly want in a vacation house set up beautifully. Directions on how to use fireplace, hot tub etc were clearly described and all the local recommendations were super helpful. We would highly recommend a stay at the Holland Retreat!

Lovely pleasant no hassle week’s vacation

Perfectly appointed kitchen, all king size beds, all appliances worked well, very well maintained. Great spacious porch. Hot tub and fire pit. Next time we’ll use the ping pong table. Plenty of space for everyone. Good setting and location. Wonderful town of Holland, Michigan.

Perfect in Everyway!

Fully and beautifully appointed in everyway! The kitchen was spacious for all the cook's and we had everything we could possibly need for our stay. The availability of beach chairs and towels was a welcome surprise. The hot tub was a little too warm for this time of the year but would be perfect in cooler weather. We did enjoy it a few evenings. Morning coffee and breakfast on the deck each day was so lovely. We even saw a doe and 3 fawns one morning. Kids (2-5 years) also had fun on the property. Location to others in our group (family reunion) was convenient as was the lake. Thank you for making everything PERFECT! We would definitely recommend your home and would love to stay again!

Amazing!

By far, the VRBO experience we’ve had (and we have a lot)! Our experience from start to finish was amazing. We were blown away by the level of detail to which the hosts have gone to anticipate your every need and ensure it’s met before you even know you have it. The videos were super helpful, the instruction guides clear and succinct, and everything in the kitchen was labeled. We didn’t have to guess how anything worked. And we were able to use all the amenities. And everything was spotless! The home is in a beautiful setting - super peaceful with lots of wildlife. Also, the layout is great for a large group - several common areas for gathering but also several places you can go if you need some quiet time. The location is also great. It was a quick drive to downtown Holland and the lake. Jayne was wonderful to work with! If you’re considering staying here, think no more. Book it! You’ll love it.
