Beach Vacation

House was great and fit our family of 10 great. Location to the beach was within a reasonable walking distance. On the VRBO listing it had listed a communal pool as a part of the amenities but unfortunately there was no community pool. I informed the property of this and he apologized for confusion. He was quick to respond to my messages. We enjoyed our time at this location.

The home was beautiful. The owner scheduled for a construction crew to be in the back yard using saws and extending the pool deck while my family was there. They sawed and hammered for over 4 hours. When I reached out to the owner/property manager to find out what was going on he said “sorry I forgot they were laying down a few pavers.”The pool was cloudy and didn’t have any salt in the salinator. We requested for it to be cleaned and someonecame two days later to add salt. We then had a yard maintenance crew come through to clean up the yard and they walked through the deck with blowers. Eventually someone was on the roof. I don’t knowIf it was for an inspection or maintenance but we were confused why so much work was happening to the house during our stay. The home was spacious and a 10 minute walk to the beach which was nice. The reached out to the owner / property manager to request a 20% reimbursement for my stay for all the interruptions, construction and noise. I was told they would speak to VRBO about a partial refund. I hope it comes through soon. Had the pool been cleaner and no on-site construction and maintenance during our stay I would have given this home a higher rating.

We have family that lives near by and this was the perfect gathering spot for us all to meet up and hang out. The pool was such a great addition and one of the reasons we book here. We cook in a few nights and everything we needed was there for us to use. Shelter Cove being so close was wonderful for the quick grocery shopping trips. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful place!
