We went to Helen for Octoberfest. The hosts were incredibly nice and helpful, they were answering questions from the moment we booked the house. The house is absolutely perfect! It is a short 15/20 minute from the heart of Hellen. The view from the porch and hot tub were spectacular! The house had every kitchen amenity you could need, even though we didn't use much of it. We loved the fireplace, it kept the whole house warm, as it was colder than we expected it to be during our visit. We will book at this house again for our next visit!

The description was perfect! The house has amazing access to the river. Very clean and comfy to hang out in. A little walk to downtown, we drove each time. Wonderful information about Helen included in our stay. We looked at the brochures and chose restaurants you recommend! Food was great! We absolutely will be booking again soon!

Extremely clean and well appointed. Perfect for 2 couples. We enjoyed Helen but even more we loved listening to the rushing waters, and relaxing on the back porch. Communication with our host went above and beyond our expectations.

Every detail "on the hooch" is well thought out. From the indoor and outdoor paint (which appears to be new) to the comfortable, high quality,comfortable furniture and every adorment in the home. The hot tub is well taken care of and the kitchen is excellent with high quality appliances and all the utensils you need to cook good meals. It is very comfortable on the upper and lower decks to just relax and listen/watch to the river flow by. The area is also quiet and out of the way of most noise in Helen.Going into town is easy to drive and really was easy for me to walk to as well (about 1 mile) and is a beautiful walk. Helen speaks for itself with October fest going on it was happening if you want lots of action and then a nice retreat this is the perfect spot.Being able to have our little, old dog there was a huge bonus and we're so grateful, he was chilling on his pillow just watching the river while we read books on the deck. The owner is very engaging and super helpful with any questions as she is knowledgeable about the area. There is a thoughtful book of knowledge on the counter when you arrive and a complimentary bottle of local wine which is a great touch.I loved opening the back door and instantly hearing the sound of the river come in to the house, it was very relaxing and we we would liked to have stayed longer than the 4 nights.We will definitely return, and I highly recommend 49 Misty weg!In 30 years of travel this is in our top 5.

Absolutely beautiful cabin that was perfectly clean. I will definitely rent this one again. Beds were comfy, cabin was supplied was with everything you could need, views were amazing, host was very attentive and I have nothing to complain about. Everything was updated and again was absolutely beautiful and in the perfect spot on the river.

Home away from home! The property is even better in person! Very nice, clean, up to date, well maintained home. Was stocked with everything you need and more. Comfy beds, nice hot tub, hosts was very nice and quick to respond, also helpful with any questions. My son loved playing in the river and my dog loved laying on the porch listening to the river. It was very relaxing and quiet. Close to town. All of this added up to the best trip, I honestly have no complaints and was impressed. Would definitely recommend and I hope to return myself one day!

My family of three (2 adults, 1 teenager) spent 8 nights at Alpine River Haus. It was perfect! The home is spotless and well-stocked with everything we needed. There are 2 decks overlooking the river. We sat on the top deck each morning drinking our coffee - a perfect way to start the day. The location is ideal to access downtown and local hiking trails and waterfalls - within about 15 minutes of Unicoi State Park, Dukes Creek Falls, and Smithgall Woods. Jennifer, our host, ensured that we had everything we needed and was available to answer questions. The hot tub on the top deck was a nice way to finish up the day post-hiking. All items in the home were easy to use (and Jennifer provided excellent instructions). The river in back of the house is shallow and good for splashing around; it gets deeper a little farther down for better swimming. I highly recommend Alpine River Haus. Me and my family will definitely return.

Perfect Location

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin for a week! Right on the river and close enough to walk into town. The cabin is so clean and comfy! So many extras provided that a lot of rentals lack. Jennifer is a great host with good communication. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch upstairs with a beautiful and peaceful river view. We also enjoyed sitting in the river on the hot afternoons! Lots of great restaurants nearby. Our pup did great here too!

Clean and beautiful! Jennifer was a delight to work with. conveniently located to everything. we had rental car problems and asked to stay an extra night which worked out well. We will definitely be back.Our French bulldog also approved. Not much traffic and quiet area.We loved it can’t say enough.

Best place to relax and unwind!

Could not ask for a better place to stay. The host, Jennifer, is attentive and kind and follows through on all the details. Close to all the activities in downtown Helen, but on a quiet part of the river to enjoy the calm of the rushing water. We will definitely being staying here again when we visit Helen.

This was our second time staying at the house. We love the location, amenities, and house. The hosts were great as usual. It’s great to be able to access the river for tubing or fishing. It’s also a quick drive into town or walk to the Pink Pig Bar b que.

Very clean, great location and host is very friendly and accommodating. Have stayed in other places as we frequent Helen often but this by far was the cleanest and had the best host! There are lots of stairs so be mindful of that but otherwise perfect spot for some relaxation

This is the perfect place! Stunning view! ON the river! Clean! Updated! Beautiful! The owner truly cares about this place and ensuring you enjoy your time spent here. Fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms, everything we always bring (paper towels, zip-lock bags, foil, cleaning supplies- just in case, etc.) was already there! Stay elsewhere if you choose, but this is really a gem!

The house was very clean; check-in quite easy. We loved the hot tub and the sound and view of the Chattahoochee River just off the deck. Convenient location to the activities in Helen by walking or very short drive. Would definitely stay here again.

perfect location for exploring the mountains of Georgia

My husband and I were looking for a quiet location while visiting Helen, Ga. This home, with many upscale features, was the perfect fit for us. The place was beautifully furnished. We enjoyed watching wildlife off the back porch, overlooking the river. The hot tub was a great way to end each day of hiking the many trails in the mountains. The owner, Jennifer, made us feel very welcomed. Although we had no issues, we felt we could have reached out to her at any time and know she was there to resolve a problem. We would highly recommend this place to friends and family, and would return here ourselves.
