Know that the additional parking is along the road opposite the vrbo. The guard was not nice about letting us know this. There are only 2 full baths in this unit not 2 like the listing said .The rooster crows from 2 AM until 8AM so hopefully you are a sound sleeper. That being said we really enjoyed our stay and would come back. Retro Vibe on a Quiet North Shore Beach â Incredible Views!
It was a relatively new listing when we booked with only 2 reviews and limited info. Theyâve since updated the listing, but we werenât 100% sure what to expect. Building is 1970s retro but they are in the process of rehabbing the exterior. Note the rehab seems to go on Mon-Fri so you hear hammering, etc. during the day. It didnât bother us because we usually werenât around at that time. The inside is not bad at all and has been updated a bit. Cosmetic Band-Aids, and a 1970s beach motif but overall good. There is a kitchen, dining area and living room on the main floor with incredible views of the private beach. There is also a full bathroom and a bedroom with a set of twin bunkbeds and a set of twin and full bunkbeds. What was disappointing is there is only a small window in this room and the bunkbed covers it so thereâs no view whatsoever. Fine if itâs young children utilizing it but we had a young couple with us that were prepared to sleep on the full mattress, but were upset to be in Hawaii and not even be able to look out the window. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs as well as a laundry closet with a stackable washer and dryer. One bedroom had a beautiful view and private balcony facing the beach. The other bedroom had a beautiful view and a private balcony that faced the tropical mountainside. Boogie boards & snorkeling equipment, as well as beach towels are provided, which was great. There are charcoal BBQâs on the premises but youâll need to get charcoal
Stayed almost a week. Unit was basic and nice. There were parking issues which the manager helped us with. Unit needs some basic maintenance. Pictures on the website need to show the small bedroom with 2 bunk beds that were 4 feet apart. The room was hot and stuffy. Biggest problem was that the WiFi was sporadic and we had none for 4 days. The host kept telling us it was connected, but it wasnât. The property grounds were great, well maintained, and overall was great. The pool was extremely nice. Overall it served our purpose.
The view from any window was amazing. The property held all 8 of us without issue and was centrally located for all activities we had planned. Close to Kualoa Ranch and Polynesian Culture Center among others. A little bakery called Kiwi had the best ever passion fruit rolls. There are several restaurants near by as well as a grocery. The property itself was under renovation but did not effect us at all. I was aware of this when booking. Would stay here again and recommend.
Overall, really had an excellent experience! The condo itself is quite old and in need of updating, but is currently under construction so hopefully that will help. The location however, was exceptional. The views on both sides of the penthouse were amazing and the semi private beach is absolutely worth the stay. Often times there were sea turtles on the beach and swimming close by which made snorkeling wonderful. Almost didnât need to go anywhere else. The host was quick to respond and very easy to work with. Would highly recommend and definitely planning on staying there again.
The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, and flatware. We had everything we needed to cook. The stairs are narrow and steep.
Very peaceful place to stay, beautiful views and quiet beach. Condo could use some more updating and AC would be nice, but overall would definitely stay again!
