'We stayed during the time of the horrible flooding, and our host was very responsive to communications. We had a wonderful stay in spite of the weather, and power outages. The apartment was well stocked and was very nice and clean, and we appreciated the air conditioning and fans.'

'Cooling breeze from trade winds, ocean view, plumeria flowers, rooster crow, birds singing, artwork by local artist, local neighbors, you get it all at Hina Hideaway. What you don't get is the bustle, the noise and traffic jam at Waikiki.Add to these, a well-equipped and well-stocked kitchen, a large lanai, a clean and beautifully decorated house with ocean arts, and a caring caretaker, then you have paradise. We left our heart there. Would return any time.'

'This was our first time in Oahu and all we wanted was to be able to walk right out the back door and be on the beach. That’s exactly what we got! Ocean and beach front! We loved the space in the basement for our 4 teenagers and overall just enjoyed the whole house!'

'We had a great stay! The place was beautifully decorated with such a cute and cozy vibe—perfect for two people. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, which made it really easy to cook and feel at home. Just an elevator ride down to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!'

'There was major construction going on, we didn’t have water all day one day and scattered times through out the other days, roaches everywhere, and parking was a pain!! We were not told anything about construction until we showed up and saw it and the day we arrived I started getting emails on all other stuff!'

The oceanfront location, beach access, and sunrise views were exactly as advertised and were definitely the highlight of our stay.Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not match the expectations set by the listing. 'The room we was just as pictured, the a/c was only a portable unit. First night was warm, but fans helped. Beach was great! Breakwaters are way out and it’s a great place to be in the water. They are still working on the exterior of the building and parking lot. Parking was somewhat of an issue and inconvenience, but we survived. Once construction is complete this place will be 5 stars. I would consider coming back, this time with the grandkids.'
