Hôtel près de Hastings Park (La Porte)

« L'emplacement est le principal atout de l'hôtel selon moi. Les chambres mériteraient un coup de jeunesse. Mais ce qui nous a le plus déçu c'est qu'il était indiqué dans le descriptif la présence d'une blanchisserie (en général 1 ou 2 machines à laver et même chose pour les sèches linges)...et en fait il n'y avait rien. Or nous faisions un road trip et comptions sur cette étape pour faire une lessive. Enfin le petit-déjeuner comptait des avis fabuleux, il était très banal, rien...

« Overall an OK hotel. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. We had a family suite and it was spacious. The room was over the main entrance so the view was basically a roof. We slept well. The shower only ran very hot water so the mixing valve must be broken. The shower curtain was dirty. »

« Staff was very accomodating. Really enjoyed the place, a bit old timey but for the price you cant beat it. Free Coffee in the lobby was Ok. Free bkfst, was yucks...but no worries Mcd up the road 3 minutes. Loved the manager and his family, they work hard to keep things nice. »

« Unique, attractive small property in a beautiful wooded setting. Large rooms, nicely furnished. Rustic feel, but definitely not "roughing it". »

« It was nice. The studio room was huge and gave us lots of room to spread out. Cookies and mints in the lobby were a nice touch. Breakfast in the morning was good. I especially liked the potatoes. Definitely would stay again. The pool was not real warm but definitely clean with towels provided. The hot tub was not in service but as it was roasting outside that didn’t matter. »

« There was a horrible smell in the room. The staff told us that the smell was coming from the pond. From where we were staying, I did not see a pond. They had two air fresheners in the room which was overpowering. We took the fresheners out and the room. We stayed there for two nights. We only slept there, spent no time. Sleeping was long enough. I found dead bugs in the bathroom floor. »

« I saw a sign when I checked in on the counter. It said 8/10. I think this is about right. It is summer time, so you are going to get bugs in the room. Also, the toilet sang all night. That is, it was noisy. Other than that, it was a pretty good stay. »

« La toilette de ma chambre était dé-gueu-lasse. Plancher malpropre et des coulisses brunes sur les murs. Le commis à la réception quittait carrément le bâtiment et nous devions le contacter sur un cellulaire. Pour la première fois, j’ai sorti mon alarme de porte. Oui, c’est un hôtel bon marché, mais quand même… »
