'Right across from the beach and perfect for just a short stay'

'Stupendous and will go back again. The rooms are very spacious with a great view. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant next door was fantastic with large portions and fantastic food. We did not have time to walk around the town, but drove through and it is extremely charming.'

'I can get nit picky but I'm not going to. For the money this was a very quiet stay in a clean room with excellent owners who are super friendly. My only critiques are please have an outlet near the side of the bed to charge my phone and to offer stream service to log into rather than cable TV. The lights outside our room were so bright that my room never got dark and it made it difficult to sleep. I would stay here again when passing through Norfolk.'

'Friendly staff at check in. Room was clean and looked partly updated although tub could be replaced. Breakfast has a good variety of food. Ample parking. Walking distance to restaurants.'

'Early and easy check in. Bed is what you expect for a cheaper property. Not high quality but good for a night or two. Only reason not 5 star is the older man in a red polo who worked there walking around and staring down guest. Spoke with another person staying and we were making jokes he was staring us down as we had our morning cigarette outside.'

'Voordeel van dit hotel is dat het erg dichtbij pretpark Busch Gardens Williamsburg ligt. De kamer was ruim en de bedden lagen prima. Echter zat er wel een grote gele vlek in het beddengoed en een oude bloedvlek. Medewerkers waren ook niet allemaal even vriendelijk.'

'The beach is just a short walk away. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. Everything was very clean, and compared to other hotels in the same price range, this place offers excellent value for the money. I would definitely stay here again. 'When we walked in the floor was sticky. I had to wipe the floor with hot water and the next day buy floor cleaner and do it my self. I had to clean the room my self. There was red hair strings on the sink and bathroom walls. They said the front desk was available till 12 midnight I called ahead to let them know I would be there at 11:30pm to check in, no one was there. My husband went to take a bite of his food and the breakfast sausage was hard like it had been sitting there for a long time....

'Near the beach, friendly staff. Problems were solved (sometimes after a reminder). Quality of the breakfast was good. Room was definitely dated. Although clean not in depth. Closer doors were very tired, safe was unresponsive (solved), roaches in the kitchenette (solved), bathroom door stuck and scraped. Staff at the front desk very friendly.'

'Room 240 could’ve been cleaner. I wipe down myself. The bathroom floor was not clean, the tub was not or could’ve been cleaner better. The pillows were flat. This location needs an upgrade! The staff were friendly.'

'I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! I wanted my kids to experience this as well, so we booked a room for several days. We stayed in a courtyard room, which was still very quiet and comfortable, despite being next to the entrance drive.
