'The property is a typical 1950's style hotel that has been remodeled. The beds were clean and comfortable. It comes with a fridge/freezer and microwave. The only amenities are very cheap bar soap and shampoo. No hair dryer, conditioner or body wash. Breakfast is not included. I felt it was very expensive for what you got'

'This was definitely a budget option (which showed in the condition of the room and the lack of internet or breakfast), but the beds were clean and the room stayed cool overnight. It's also very conveniently located, just off the highway and close to a gas station and a very reasonable diner/family restaurant.'

'You basically get what you pay for. It’s an inexpensive budget inn with modest amenities. The rooms show signs of some updating but for the most part it is an old hotel with signs of its age. The staff was nice and pleasant during both check in and check out. Rooms very very basic.'

'This is a unique property. The house is beautiful, but it was a little difficult to tell what exactly we were getting from the listing. We wound up with a room with an en-suite bathroom, which I would definitely recommend, otherwise you may be sharing a bathroom with complete strangers. We stayed here as part of RAGBRAI, so it was completely full and folks were definitely having to share a bathroom and coordinate showers.
