Beautiful condo, horrible communication from maintenance team

We had a 4 night stay. We come down to Gulf Shores every summer, The condo was clean and views were gorgeous, however, our first night there I called about a broken shower head and was told I would get a call back from the maintenance team. Never received a call back, and ended up going to Walmart and just buying a new shower head to use. The second night we were woken up by a faulty fire alarm at 5:30am. Obviously shaking up everyone of us. I called the emergency maintenance number, the lady that answered tried to reach the maintenance team and said they aren't answering but that she would have them call me back. Again never received a call back. Then upon returning to the condo later that night around 8:00, the fire alarm went off again, sending my 8 year old into a panic attack. When I called that time, the lady on the phone even heard my son crying hysterically in the background. My brother in law had to take the batteries out of the smoke detectors to get the noise to stop so we could calm my son down. We were told to just leave them without the batteries and maintenance would come the next day to fix the issue. After finally getting my son calmed down enough to sleep, he woke up from nightmares the next 2 nights. Then, they changed the key code to get in the room a day early so we were locked out and had to find someone to get us in because of yet another unanswered call to maintenance. Very disappointed.

Great condo in perfect location!

We enjoyed our 3 nights at the San Carlos in this unit. It was roomy and updated and in a great location. Beach chair service was great, and check in and out of course was easy. Everything in the condo worked as expected. We would stay again.

Maintenance crew

During our vacation routine maintenance was scheduled. A crew member knocked on our door very loudly and aggressively like he was serving a warrant. The reason for the knock was to replace an air filter, I get one vacation a year and suffer from ptsd so the knock really had me stirred up quite a while. It was impossible to get a hold of management. Owners should consider a different company

Family Vacation

We brought my 6 week old for her first beach trip because her grandma wanted a trip. The condo is positioned in a great spot and it’s a very nice condo. The condo itself could use some updating though, there’s mold in the master bathroom and there’s a sign that states they provide chairs and umbrellas however the chairs are broken. We enjoyed our stay though

The property was great and location was fantastic. Could walk to lots of places. The kitchen supplies were rental quality - but expected - since it was a rental. Had all we needed. Our family had a wonderful time. we enjoyed San Carlos.

Totally worth it

My family and I love it here. The balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean. I also liked the fact they had a big air mattress that was easy to blow up for the kids and they had beach umbrella, chairs, inner tubes and pool noddles for us to use. Great space for any family to enjoy. The only issue was there were so many remotes to the tv in the living room it was kind of confusing at first. But thank you for a awesome adventure

This condo is one of the better ones I’ve stayed in!! It is in a nice location. It was very clean and the elevator worked very well not like others in previous condos. Overall I was well pleased!!

Great place to stay on the beach in Gulf Shores

Rental was very nice, they have beach chairs, and an umbrella in second bedroom closet if you're going to the beach. It is just a short walk to multiple restaurants, bars and shopping in the area. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to stay in Gulf Shores.

Great location

This is a great location with great communication with the management company. The master bedroom mattress is absolutely uncomfortable. The first night there, we had to buy a mattress topper which helped a little but it is so sunken in the middle, you could not get comfortable. We ended up checking out the day before we were supposed to because I could not sleep. The second problem was that there was no streaming device. It would have been good to know before we went because we had a Roku at home but had to buy one there. It normally would not be a big deal, but it rained so much that we were inside a good bit.
