1. Cockroaches.
2. The Concierge was supposed to insure that my son
s airport shuttle had him to the airport by 16:00 hours. THEY DIDN"T EVENT CALL THE SHUTTLE UNTIL 16:00 HOURS.
As a result my son missed his flight and is STUCK in guatemala for 4 days.
Overall a good experience. Rooms were clean; food was good; staff was friendly. Perfect location if you have to visit the US embassy. 24 hour armed security guards a big plus. One window a/c was noisy so we turned it off, but since the season was cool it was not a big deal. Someone pilfered half of my wife's Dove shampoo bottle.
Family trip to Guatemala, i reserved 2 nights for 2 adults and 2 kids, picked the hotel as is a good neighborhood, the rate and the free breakfast. The manager refused to give us the 4 breakfast as he said the hotel only received confirmation for 2 adults even when i showed him and forwarded the email confirmation from Expedia, he wanted me to pay $32 for each of the kids and one of them is only 2 years old.
The room has a lot of humidity, the baby and i got a cough, my wife got a cold.
The elevator was partially working, had to wait for someone on the staff to move it up and down.
Not what you expect on a $98 room hotel.
The staff is nice and helpful, but that is the best thing about this hotel. We found two roaches in our room as soon as we walked in and two very long hairs in the sheets!! The manager gave us a different room, but not a good experience.
The best of this hotel is their staff very friendly, I need it a refrigerator urgently to save breastfeeding milk and they look for one in a rush. The best of the hotel is that they solve your needs, they recommend a taxi driver name Yovani who took me everywhere and wait it for me in each meeting, ask for him at the hotel in your next visit.
