Cozy, welcoming, fun basement apartment. This two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with its private entrance has all you will need for a relaxing adventure in the lovely foothills of SC. Enjoy the hot tub, pool table, Pac Man machine, and juke box while staying in the apartment. The Tryon International Equestrian Center and the charming towns of Landrum and Tryon are a short drive away. We are just across the road from the Chestnut Ridge Heritage Preserve where guests can enjoy wonderful hiking.

Very nicely equipped and decorated basement apartment! Very responsive hosts! Definitely a five star stay. We loved the hot tub and pool table, as well as the PAC-man game during our downtime. The snacks and waters were a nice surprise upon our arrival as well. Their cat Zipper was very sweet and a big hit with my daughter.One thing I would have liked to see the listing mention is that the owners/hosts do live on-site, upstairs. It wasn’t an issue and we never heard them and only saw them in passing once, while outside turning our car around in front of the house. I suspected the owners may live on-site and could have asked ahead of time, but it wasn’t a big deal to us, aside from being a bit concerned that our dogs might disturb them by whining or barking while we were away from the apartment for a family function that we couldn’t bring the dogs along for. I messaged to express my concern and the hosts were so gracious, assuring me that the insulation was very good and that they were sure it wouldn’t be an issue. I only mention it for those that might want a completely private property.I also want to thank the hosts for their sweet messages to our family about the purpose of our trip, which was for my father-in-law’s memorial/celebration of life. Very much appreciated!

fun quick stay

loved checking out nearby small towns and then enjoying evenings in using hot tub, pool table, juke box and playing pac man and galaga on the arcade. Grilled out and enjoyed eating on patio with fall foliage view. Fun and relaxing.

Communication was great and the ammenities were fun and welcoming. They went the extra step to provide snacks and water. Playing Gallaga and the jukebox was a highlight. It is under the main home but it still felt very private. Fun place and i highly recommend it for your family.

Beautiful, secluded, awesome mountain getaway in SC.

From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. Waterbowl for the dogs ? Check. Welcome snacks ? Check. Amenities in case some toiletries were forgotten ? Check. The decoration is stunning, the Arcade game, Jukebox and Billiard table are so much fun. Everything was as described or way better. We will certainly return.

Awesome Spur-of-the-Moment Getaway!

Decided on a whim to go to the mountains this weekend. We actually stayed in the foothills in beautiful Landrum! Who knew? It is such a wonderful, little town! Then the apartment we stayed in was perfect for the weekend!(or week if we could stay longer!😂) It is decorated beautifully, easy to access and the owner makes you feel so welcome with the extra things! The porch was my favorite both mornings! It was so peaceful! Loved this house and hope to return in October! Hendersonville, Saluda and Lake Lure are a quick, scenic drive away too!

Great location. Great property, Great time!!

Wonderful trip to the mountains. Quick trip from Charlotte and well placed location to hop through the awesome mountain towns. In two days we enjoyed spots in Greenville SC, Landrum NC, Tryon NC, Brevard, Hendersonville, and Forest City. Easy access to so many more but wanted laid back weekend. Coming back to the apartment was just as much fun with games, pool table, video games, and jukebox. Owners very responsive and very nice people. Lots of thought and details into this fun getaway location.

Great stay. Well appointed apartment. Private entrance, nice patio. Beautifully decorated & comfotable. We will stay again. 20 min to FENCE & 10 min to downtown Landrum. Lots of wineries nearby.

5 Stars! We stayed 2 nights for a wedding at Glassy Hill (less than 5 minutes) and reception at The Lindsey Plantation (15 minutes). It was a great location for our visit. The accommodations are exactly as advertised. The beds are so comfortable you don't want to leave! Very eclectic and historical. Loved reliving my younger years with Ms. Pacman and beating my 22 year old son!! Great times and wonderful memories. You won't be disappointed. Thank you to the McElveen's for a wonderful stay!

Coolest stay EVER!

Our stay was fantastic! The basement living space feels brand new with beautiful antiques and cool accent pieces that make the stay exceptional. There is a working juke box, free standing pac man game and an awesome vintage billiard table that served our adult boys and their girls well. The kitchen was well equipped and the sleeping areas were comfortable. There is an amazing shower in the master bedroom! The area is quiet and the main house and landscaping are beautifully kept. A certain repeat!

Best place EVER!

We had so much fun. The video games, pool table, and music brought back memories from our younger days. We had our dog with us, and he loved the trail. This is the perfect place to go if you just want to relax and slow life down a little. We didn’t get out much because everything we could ever want was right there. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!!! Clean... check. Smelled good...check. Comfortable...check.
