'Pros: Valerie is a kind host, and the property is in one of the most beautiful areas I have ever stayed. Cons: There is one shared bathroom on the first floor. There is no bathroom in the room, or the one next door which I saw when I found out that the dividing door was not locked. The pillows did not have liners in the pillow cases and were stained so we did not use them. The sheets had other people's hair on them, so we didn't use the cover sheets or blankets. It's a beautiful space under 15 minutes from the main attractions of Saratoga Springs, but it's like an oasis--beautiful space, very comfortable room with a beautiful bathroom, gorgeous patio to eat customized breakfast, and garden to enjoy. 'Historical B&B in a beautiful location on the Mohawk River, we had a great stay here. The place is filled with awesome antiques acquired by proprietors John and Pam over 30 years. The inn dates back to the 1800's and four U.S. Presidents have stayed here. Located 22 minutes from Saratoga Racetrack and 45 minutes from Lake George, we loved being able to explore the area and return to this quiet inn. 'Beautiful view over the canal. The am breakfast was great. Rooms are large and less than flashy but it is a recovered old brick mill so what I’d expect. The downtown was old w some closed shops but we still found plenty to do. Visit an old castle near town for a real step back in time. I would stay at Stone Mill again. '

'The cottage we stayed in was adorable with our own little porch. John was so welcoming. The food for breakfast looked amazing even though we didn’t have the chance to eat. They offer thoughtful touches like a s’mores set up for you if you want to sit by the fire pit and fresh cookies to take during the day. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast if you are in Cooperstown. '

'Ed runs a great B&B. The staff is friendly and efficient. Breakfast was superb. I enjoyed talking baseball with other guests over coffee in the morning and with Ed at night. I will definitely return. '
