Beautiful and quiet countryside

We had a wonderful time staying here for our 35th wedding anniversary. It was beautiful and quiet. Sitting on the front porch looking at the rolling hills and countryside was amazing. But we were also just minutes from the heart of Granbury with lots to do. A great weekend!!

Peaceful rural Texas setting close to Granbury and Glen Rose

Lovely setting quiet area. This location was perfect for exploring Granbury and Glen Rose. If you want quiet, this is it. The host was thoughtful to have extras in Bath area and kitchen well stocked. I was concerned about the bed at first but it was actually quite comfortable. The reason I didn’t give this property a five: unfortunately when we walked in the first thing I saw was dust covering the top of little fridge. The towel bar in the bath kept falling off and the drawer in the closet dresser was off the rail. Actually this made me feel more at home! Lol. But was a bit annoying These things did not prevent us from enjoying our stay

Perfect Stay

Where do I start? A friend and I booked this wonderful cabin for four days. She had to return to work after the four days, but I stayed another week! The peace and quiet was exactly what we needed after a very stressful year. The cabin was clean, beautifully furnished, and so convenient. We loved the horses and chickens but did not see the fainting goat faint. Carolyn, our host was very helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed her visits. We plan to book again in the spring or early summer.

Farmhouse Life

It was enjoyable to stay on the "Farmhouse" property. Accommodations were perfect for us, and we loved being in the country and yet so close to restaurants and entertainment. We even met the owner for a "chat.". Great experience, and would go back again.

We have searched for a place to unplug since we relocated 2 years ago. We miss the trees from home. This is the 8th cabin/cottage we have stayed in searching for serenity. THIS IS THE PLACE! 💖 We are so grateful to have found peace and serenity in more ways than one. Carolyn and her daughter have the most well mannered horses that love attention. The whole farm is full of happiness! The land, the owners and the animals are kind, sincere and happy. Unplugging changed our life. It took a village filled with kind people, animals and a cottage. We will be back again! If your not into all that. It’s a great place for privacy.

Amazing hospitality!

This little guesthouse was everything my fiancé, Kathryn, and I had asked for. Carolyn was extremely courteous for our birthday vacation. If you want a small vacation to get away but also have interesting events, this perfect median between Glen Rose and Granbury will make you feel at home in no time!

Lovely property!

Beautiful little cottage on larger property, yet felt private. Stay was quiet and restful. Carolyn, the host, was responsive to messages. She also showed me around the property and introduced me to the animal family. I enjoyed sharing the porch in the mornings and evenings with the resident hens! Would definitely stay here again.

This property will spoil you!

I echo all of the raves in earlier reviews. The hostess has set the bar very high for all VRBOs. Want to feel comfortable and spoiled, then spend a few days at this rural retreat. I left today and I’m already yearning for the relaxed time I spent here.

House was cozy, cute, comfortable and very clean. Well stocked kitchen and bath supplies. Beautiful setting, quiet and relaxing. Loved being able to watch and listen to the animals. We loved sitting on porch in the rocking chairs just enjoying nature and listening to the birds. We hope to return often!

Wonderful place to stay!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this guest home. The location was great, communication with owner was very easy, and the home itself was very clean and was very well stocked with extra blankets, kitchen and bath items, and such. The sweet farm animals, Luna the goat, and the chickens were an added bonus! Would definitely recommend this home and would stay here again!

Adorable guesthouse. Enjoyed watching the chickens as they scratched around the yard, even saw a jackrabbit! It was very peaceful. The perfect place to stay for a quiet getaway. The hostess was quick to respond and made sure all was ready.

Wonderful weekend getaway

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly as described and shown in pictures. Quite comfortable and cozy. We had everything we needed! It is conveniently located between Granbury and Glen Rose which allowed us to do a lot of exploring during the day. We enjoyed evenings on the front porch watching all birds and animals. We would definitely stay again!!

Perfect Cottage!

We traveled to the area for a family weekend getaway to Dinosaur Valley State Park. The house was perfect for our family of four. We loved being on the outskirts of town in a quiet country area (super easy drive to get into granbury and easy to get to dinosaur valley).The animals on the property were great! Our daughters loved seeing the horses, goats and chickens. The house had everything we needed and more! Plenty of towels, dishes, pillows and blankets; and even extra goodies such as muffin mixes, seasoning, cooking spray etc. also had tons of toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, q-tips etc. in case you forget yours! Loved all the family DVD selections and puzzles. Can’t say anything negative about this place!

Perfect Cottage in the Country

So peaceful and quiet. Stayed for over a week. Fed carrots to the horses and the goat, and looked in on the new little chicks. Loved to sit on the porch or look out the living room windows at the view. Carolyn was an awesome host!. Checked up on me frequently and asked if I needed anything. The cottage is well stocked with everything you need for a short or long stay. I had to work while I was here, but I brought a small card table from home and set it up in the living room. The wifi was really good for being out in the country. Will stay here again when visiting my parents, and my out of state family is also interested in staying when they visit.
