The "Glass Route" leading through the Bavarian Forest offers you a wide range of glassware with the well-known "JOSKA" glassworks in Bodenmais and the "WEINFURTNER" glass village in Arnbruck. The surrounding mountains Pröller, Geißkopf and Arber invite you to go on extensive hiking tours. In winter they are very popular for skiing (floodlit) or snowshoeing. Alternatively, there are well-groomed cross-country ski trails that run through forests and meadows. For those who like to be in the water, there is the new natural swimming pond or the "ELYPSO" adventure pool in Deggendorf. Golfers are also well catered for not far from Deggendorf and near Straubing. But if you want to "let it rip", then the largest indoor karting track in Lower Bavaria " Kart-o-mania in Geiersthal " is the place for you.
