'Size of the room. Friendliness of the staff and location.'

'This affordable hotel is about 20 mins drive from downtown Charleston. Staff is helpful and nice. We booked for 5 persons, but we had to make the sofabed ourselves. Also there were only towels provided for 4. When we asked, it was no problem and got them. Breakfast is good, but the line for waffles was long and is at the start of the buffet. Maybe move the waffle station to the end and get an extra waffle iron would help a lot. '

'I really enjoyed watching the sunset at the Porch Bar every evening! And not to mention that they had a Jazz performance (The Joy Jazz Band) in the lounge area Thursday evening and then the Jazz Band playing again Saturday morning with such a large Amazing Breakfast menu!!!! Beautiful Island but much enhanced by such Beautiful accommodations. Highly Recommend, Dr. Wright!'

'Left a day early due to sewage smelling bar and dining g area, tv did not work, telephone in room did not work, and the gas line by the pool is could smell of gas was strong . At least they were not turned on or it was would be super dangerous. The personnel and manager were wonderful their hands were tied. I need a refund. It was very bad experience.'

'Our room wasn't cleaned, the beds were possibly made (couldn't tell for sure) but there were crumbs and garbage from the previous occupants in several places. The bathroom had clumps of hair in corners that had been there for some time. All appliances had caked up dust on them so the room hadn't been cleaned properly in ages. Management was understanding to some extent and offered another room that was equally dirty. We ended up staying the night in the second room after cleaning the bath and...

'They were over booked. Tried to put us in two separate rooms but I had not seen my family in 2 years. They said they could refund us but still haven't in 5 days. We stayed at a lovely little bungalow that accommodated all 6 of us including an outdoor shower.'
