Cottages in Front Royal

'The cottage at Raven’s Roost was a perfect spot for our long weekend enjoying the Shenandoah Valley area. Ed and Betsy were excellent hosts that really take pride in making sure your stay is everything that it can be. We loved getting to play with the dogs everyday when we came back from hiking. Miss Katniss, the orange and white kitty, loved having our attention too. We would definitely stay again at Raven’s Roost for our next visit to the Valley.'

'My husband and I stayed for the weekend. While the home is definitely out in the woods, it is not as secluded as we had hoped. There is a large occupied house that looks down on the rental house and hot tub. The ring doorbell can also see the hot tub, and we did not feel like it was private enough for us to use. The house is beautiful and there is plenty of space to wander in the woods.'

'Middleburg is a quaint Virginia town with lots of history, and to stay in this 1800 century cottage added to the entire experience. Tim (owner) is absolutely fabulous and so accommodating. Tim spent time with us (by our request) and gave us the history of the cottage and plantation. The cottage is well stocked, comfortable, and exactly as the pictures show. 'We drove to Luray from NC to do some touring of the area, and Cottage by the Caverns was wonderful! The house was the perfect size, decorated beautifully, and we absolutely loved the fire pit area! The location was perfect to hop over to the caverns, and the neighborhood itself was quiet, although the traffic got a bit noisy, at times. 'This is a charming property that would be a welcome escape anywhere, but the setting is what makes it truly magical. Lush greenery, towering trees and a beautifully landscaped yard provide the perfect backdrop to this Bluemont Escape. The house is stylishly decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. The beds were comfy and the cozy couch with ottoman were perfect for our needs. We would totally recommend this property and look forward to returning.'
