She spent a long time on her phone arranging transportation for us for very early the next morning. The building is old, but the rooms were more than adequate and the beds were comfortable. 'This is a hidden gem. A car is essential as the hotel is in a very pretty but rural area with no other facilities. However the hotel is absolutely first class, the rooms are spacious, airy and well appointed. The hotel restaurant is brilliant with a great selection of local dishes and on Saturday and Sunday a quaint small bar at the front of the hotel where you can sit and watch the occasional cyclist or car go by. The owning family are so helpful and made us feel so welcome '

Before we even arrived, she woke up out of her sleep to assist me. I hadn’t realized the time difference and she still woke up to with some requests needed. 'Die Zimmer sind sehr schön. Aber leider gibt es kein Restaurant. Cafe schließt um 15:00 Uhr. Man kann nur in das Restaurant am Golfplatz (ca. 300 m entfernt) gehen. Das schließt während der Woche leider auch schon um 17:00 Uhr. Es bleibt also nur eine Autofahrt nach Grado.'
