Canât beat the view. Beautiful beach and water views. Cute and cozy home had most everything but due note you have to go outside and up a steep staircase to reach the master. House is pretty remote but only a 20-30 minute drive to Bellingham or Blaine.
We had a terrific time at the beach house. So close to the water we were able to see lots of wildlife activity. Seals, sea lions, variety of ducks, geese, eagles. We enjoyed beach combing during low tide. Listening to waves lap and crash on rocks. Played pickaball in nearby court, ran and walked pups in grassy fields near house. Lovely location. Kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals. Proximity to activities, dining, exploring was good too.
What a refreshing and relaxing place.
We loved the deck -sat and enjoyed the bay for hours. Lots of sea life, even had a whale come near.
The neighborhood was very quiet & friendly.
But make sure to stop for Grace ties before you drive out - we didnât want to leave!
We had a fabulous stay at this beachside getaway! We came to unwind from the hustle and bustle and this beach house met our needs. It was well acquainted, tidy, and cozy with fantastic views!! Being able to bring our dog along made a huge difference! The yard is mostly fenced with exception to the front face of the house which has open access to the beach. It is indeed a bit tricky getting down to the beach from the house, but if you've hiked or done even a little scrambling, you'll have no problem negotiating the rocks - just a few thoughtful steps and you're there. Our dog loved roaming the beach and the kayaks were awesome! The neighbors are incredibly warm and welcoming, allowing us to use their property a few doors down to access the water with the kayaks. We found the neighborhood quiet and serene - if you like bird watching, enjoy! Great walking and small community trails allow you to enjoy nature close up. There are 2 local food marts if you need quick things just a few miles out. And, the bedroom with outdoor access was great for working and handling business calls. We would definitely book here again. It was just what we needed. What an awesome property!! Thank you!!
This property has an amazing front row view to water, islands, wildlife, and sunsets. The house was clean and well stocked. Most things were as they should be, but more careful attention is needed to address broken or missing items, such as shade umbrellas and window screens broken or missing. The upper bedroom is up a steep outside staircase that would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues or fear of heights, but the view is great. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The porch has everything needed and there's a fire ring and wood availalble, even marshmallow toasting sticks. Beach is easily accessible and a nice walk during low tides. We were there in June, but would love to visit during the winter!
We had a good time at the property. It was lovely inside but could use some editing of the beautiful sit about. So many treasures there was no space to move about with our belongings. The kitchen was well appointed. The stairs to the upper space are problematic for us older folks. The yard could use a good clean up. Front door has a large gap at the bottom losing heat..and the scrsen door would not closs. Front porch step is uneven and a bit dangerous. Overall a lovely space . Very fantastic sunsets!
If youâre looking for a quiet neighborhood with iconic views and a costal vacation vibes, youâve come to the right place. Their cozy home has it all; dog-friendly, indoor entertainment for gloomy days, beautiful sunsets, and oceanfront fun during low and high tide. Dog owners - no fence and you will run into ppl on the beach. Thankfully everyone is very friendly and welcoming. This is the perfect spot for anyone looking to kickback and relax.
10/10 coming back.
We truly enjoyed our stay here. I grew up in the area and have family nearby so I was already familiar with area and knew what to expect. Being early Spring season, the beach and neighborhood was perfectly quiet and peaceful. The sunsets were gorgeous and definitely a highlight of this home. The water was quite rough during our stay so we did not use the kayaks or paddleboard but did explore the beach during low tide and walked the paths around the neighborhood. The only thing missing for us in this home was more information about the Lummi Nation and the tribal lands that surround you. There is a lot of history and current land rights that would be important for visitors to know and respect.
The view sells the place. Great ocean view and sunsets. The house was nicely furnished and beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped.
The âbeach accessâ is a bit false. There is a very large rocky ledge. You have to climb down some rocks via the neighbors property to get down to the beach, which is only accessible at low tide. This was difficult for our old, senior dog. The steps to the upstairs room are VERY steep (also not possible for a dog to get up). The house is understandably a beach house, but could use some repairs. Several windows are broken, thereâs no screen door on the slider (making it harder to cool down the house). The house was clean, but could have been a bit cleaner.
Overall, we loved the view, the outdoor seating, and the fire pit. Appreciated the extra touches on arrival (beers and water in fridge) and the flexibility to get settled an hour before check in.
For anyone going on the 4th, the neighborhood loves their fireworks! They blasted fireworks all night - made for a lovely show on the water. Just FYI for anyone bringing dogs for the holiday - plan for an all-nighter of large, loud booms.
The propery was amazing! It's is an older home that must have been remodeled because it is beautiful and nicely decorated. We did not want for any amenities. The outdoor seating is wonderful to have for listening to the ocean or watching the ships. Coffee in the upstairs bedroom was a win for my sleepy hubby.
We brought our kayaks (144 pounds each) and thought we might have easier access to the beach. But, we took our kayaks to Birch Bay and had a wonderful time there.
I would give a 5 star rating except there was some things lacking in the property management.
1. Housekeeping missed a couple of items like cleaning the microwave and not including soap in the upstair shower.
2. I received generic emails from Evolve but I never received communication from Evolve management when I emailed or called with questions or concerns.
Number 1 is a small thing, but number 2 could have been worst.
Although I read the check in process, there was no cell service in the area. If I were warned I could have printed the instructions especially the entry code. Once we were in and had WiFi, it wasn't an issue.
The house was warm, but we opened as many windows as allowed and opened the doors to get a nice cross breeze making it very comfortable.
lovely setting. House was well stocked. The upstairs bedroom was accesable by very steep stairs and had no windows that would open, but nicely updated. There was really no beach access although the contact thought there was but no. I think since the front of the house gets direct sun all day the windows need some shades or something as the house got very hot. The neighborhood had nice walking paths.
Great waterfront beach cabin. Just right for 2 couples as long as one couple doesnât mind going outside to access the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. Ample amenities for cooking. Welcome snacks and drinks from host. Fun to watch the boats in the Strait.
This beautiful space was exactly what we were hoping it would be. The upper space was newly remodeled and perfect for my husband and I. My son, his girlfriend and their puppy occupied the lower bedroom and living space. It was so great to be able to spend time with family cooking, dining, watching tv, sitting on the deck to watch the sunset, but then being able to retreat to our own private upper space was awesome. It was an absolutely breathtaking location. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area to visit my son. The owners were very responsive to all of my communications.
