'This hotel is so friendly. It's a very small hotel that trips you like a member of their family. Fair warning, the single rooms that don't include breakfast are low budget. it's a closet, but once I upgraded (<$50 a night for the upgrade) it was a double bed, nice bathroom, and it included the breakfast (which is nice). 'We would stay here again. The location was great with a park across the street and nearby grocery stores. No restaurants were open nearby, despite it being Saturday night. The room was generally quiet and the sheets were super soft. The room was big and had good options to lay out our suitcases. The room also had a mini fridge, however there was no bottled water in the room. The toilet seat and toilet paper rack were both very loose, but the bathroom had a fan. The fridge and fan were extra nice...

'Casa El Eden was perfect. They have thought of everything. The room was meticulously clean, the building is beautiful, but the best part was Mario and Blanca who made us feel like family the moment we walked through the door. 'Fantastic stay at La Basilica Quito. Great location with good security, very friendly owners and staff. English spoken. Very clean and nice rooms, comfortable beds and bathroom with all amenities. Some of the rooms are located in-house, which makes them a bit stuffy due to lack of ventilation, but this is minor. Right in the hart of Old Quito at 5 minutes walk from historic square with cathedral, museums, presidential palace, and also the National Basilica. '

'Great staff, good food, comfortable rooms, a bit run-down, like the whole area of La Mariscal. However, it is lively and safe outside in the night. Hopefully the whole area of the Mariscal is coming back. '
