A Home Away from Home

This was my second stay at the Bennett. I absolutely love this home and consider it as my Kansas home when I come to visit family. I love its warmth and charm, its huge kitchen and dining table, and the comfortable tv room and bedrooms. The patio and backyard are perfect for my morning coffee and relaxing in the evening. The home has everything a family needs to make for a memorable stay. And best of all, the hosts are fantastic and are available if I ever need anything. I'll be back again soon, I'm sure!

Perfect home away from home

Booked to spend Christmas weekend with family that live near by. The place was absolutely wonderful! Even had a full size Christmas tree and some other decor around the house. Coco the host was extremely helpful and even texted to make sure we made it ok and to make sure everything was fine upon arriving. The neighborhood was nice and quiet but yet only 2 blocks from the main drag. We really couldn’t have asked for a better place Thank you!

Home away from home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Bennett. Our host, Colleen, as well as her husband, were very prompt in replying to any questions we had. The layout of the house was perfect for when the grandchildren spent the night. And the backyard, which is actually 3 combined backyards, was a blessing for when kids needed to burn off energy. We’ll definitely be staying here in the future.

Emporia trip

It was a beautiful home. Everything was clean and anything we needed was there. The owner was next door and promptly had the toilet fixed when we had an issue and she was always available. We moved my son to ESU and this house was a great location, close to downtown and the campus. Highly recommend!

The property was as described and Colleen was a great property manager, with excellent communication throughout and even provided delicious fresh cookies at the start of the stay! Perfect Bike Getaway

Stayed at this property for a gravel race along with 5 other friends. Excellent communication before, during and as we left from property manager. House had all the amenities and great space and decor. Owner actually lives next door which was helpful for questions. Could stow bikes in garage and work on then. Highly recommend.

Cute and Charming Bennett

We were in Emporia visiting family for the Thanksgiving holidays and loved our stay in the Bennett house. The historic home was renovated with love and attention to details that featured Kansas beauties (sunflowers and starry skies) and Emporia’s famous pastimes (disk golf and gravel bike races). The kitchen is gorgeous and well-equipped, and the beds were super comfortable. Overall the house is beautifully furnished and in a great location close to downtown Emporia, where we enjoyed shopping at Granada’s chocolate shop, Twin Rivers winery, and more. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Amazing space

This is one of the cleanest places I have been in. The welcome card, with fresh cookies and coffee was an added bonus. I enjoy getting outside when I am cooped up in meetings all day, and this place was perfect for that as well. Thank you for a great stay!

excellent stay for a reunion and a gravel race!

Our stay in Emporia was perfect for bringing together two friends to celebrate their 90th birthday's together. Conveniently Emporia is located 1/2 way for our two families to travel to bring our Moms together. The home was perfect with sleeping rooms on both floors, comfortable seating, a lovely back yard, a garage complete with cruiser bikes to get to town, and a well appointed kitchen with more than just the basics. In fact, a jar of cookies and local grind coffee were in-house ready for our arrival. the hosts were extremely accommodating and welcomed us like family. After the reunion I stayed on to race a 2-day gravel race and the location of the house was perfect for a short warm up and cool down to get to the downtown venue. A hose was available for cleaning off my bike and again the hosts were curious and enthusiastic about my race! I wold definitely stay here again!

A charming and comfortable little house.

My wife and I have been using VRBO for about seven years to book vacation homes. Thus far, we've stayed in about a dozen. This house, and a condo in NC, are the best experiences we've had. The house is beautiful, as well as quite comfortable, and the landlords are very accommodating.

Cozy Home

We stayed here with our two young daughters for a wedding. The moment you walk in you already feel at home. Everything was so clean and cozy. All the beds were comfy and felt like a hotel. CoCo is so friendly, and even brought toys over for our 4 year old to play with. We truly had a wonderful stay and will book again if we ever head that way again.

Great Place to Stay!

The owners have renovated and decorated this house to make it inviting and comfortable for its guests. It was spotless. The TV cable was easy to use. The owners are next door, and the alternate host is across the street -- readily available. The neighborhood is quiet, and the neighbors are friendly. There are sidewalks for good walks. We would definitely stay here again.

Every Detail

Wow, this house is more beautiful than the photos show. The owner was so easy to work with. The house is on a nice quiet street. Every detail has been thought of...fresh baked cookies were waiting for us, flameless candles out on the deck, I was going to a wedding and thought "I wish I had brought a lint roller" and then remembered I had seen one in the bathroom drawer. I say enough good things about our time here.

Best house rental ever

The property is immaculate. Everything from the outside to the inside . The house is totally updated and was clean and nice as could be . The owners went above and beyond to help with anything and everything we needed . So glad I picked this house and next time I'm in kansas I will definitely be staying here for sure . Without a doubt this is the best place to stay in emporia. Cant wait to be back !!.
