'We stayed in the Presidential Suite this past weekend and when we walked into the room, we were shocked to say the least. The pictures online are nothing like it is in person. This room also cost an additional 300$ compared to other rooms available. There are no charging ports inside the room with the exception of wall outlets. There are no lamps. So the only way to see is by turning the light for the whole room on. This is a big deal to me, especially if you don’t want to interrupt the other...

'First of all the bbq pits outside were falling about and rusted out. Barley useable. The air conditioner units did not blow air well at all, out room was mostly hot. The hotel room phone did not work to call front desk. The coffee pot in the hotel room was full of rust. The price of the room was just ridiculous for what we got. Some of the office staff are rude and never answer the telephone, you would have to call 3 or 4 times. And there is no voicemail to leave a message. The beds were hard...

'Bc of the impending hurricane, my family decided not to come to the beach on the dates of July 23-24. And bc I missed the deadline of getting a refund, I'm out the cost of a night at the hotel. I value my family's lives more than $$. I will not be using Expedia and am highly disappointed in IHG. I even tried to get the dates changed but no one would answer back to approve this changes. So this review will be less than a 1.'

'We had an awful stay at Captain Quarters. Upon arrival, our room was not clean and there was sand in the bedding. The building is run down and not at all sound proof- we could hear every person that passed through the stairwell next to our room all day and night. The plumbing made a hissing sound throughout the building, and we heard it repeatedly as people showered. The worst part of our stay though was the heat. During our three day stay, our room never cooled down - even with the thermostat...

'Biggest issue was the locking mechanism. Main door had electric type in 4 digit code plus checkmark and it unlocks. Doors have settled and/or shifts. Had to call facilities to come deal with issue. Super nice, came quickly. Just an older building. Back sliding glass did not lock at all. Facilities had a wooden closet rod in the floor guide. Did the job nicely. However, having a bad back makes it a little nuisance. View from this room was great RM 121. AC good with two window units. Bed was firm,...
