We had an amazing time. There was so much to do for the week. The cabin is tastefully done and equipped perfectly! The beds were comfortable. Our adult children enjoyed the game room and the river. We took daily walks with fur babies. We will be back
From the time we arrived we loved the cabin, it was clean and so cozy. The jacuzzi was very clean and was wonderful to use in the cool evenings and the fire pit was also a big hit. The location was very close to all types of things (i.e. grocery and activities). The ambience with the flowing river in the backyard was very serene. We highly recommend this wonderful cabin. The host Anthony was extremely responsive and just a pleasure to communicate with.
This property is beautiful. The cabin sits at the end of a road with few neighbors. The cabin and hot tub are well maintained. There was an issue with the cleaning crew that the homeowner addressed during our stay. Things I wish I had known when booking the property is that the highway runs directly across the creek from the property, so there is traffic noise when outside. Also, there is a warehouse across the creek and a bright advertising sign. These issues are likely less noticeable during the spring and summer when the leaves are full.
Beautiful location/property - the cabin was very nice, neat and well stocked. The river view, hot tub, fire pit, games, location and easy access to downtown Ellijay and surrounding towns was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will plan a return visit in the future. The only negative I can note is the early 10am checkout time.
It was good. There was only 1 roll of paper towels for a 3 night, 4 day stay. There was shredded lettuce dropped on the inside of the refrigerator. You couldn't watch the same thing on any tv on the property.
House was very nice ! Very well equipped and host was always timely with communication.
The river was all you could want for tubing.
I would definitely stay again.
We go to the north Georgia mountains every year with our family to fish and relax. We had a wonderful time at this cabin on the Coosawatee River in Ellijay. The cabin and surrounding grounds were beautiful and had everything we needed. Weâll book it again.
We had a great time relaxing by the river! It was the perfect getaway. The accommodations were very nice for our little family. My kids loved being able to fish by the river, warm up in the hot tub after hiking, and enjoyed sâmores by the fire almost every night! The host was even so gracious to help us find something we left behind after we realized it upon returning back home. It was a wonderful week or relaxing and family time, and we will absolutely stay again when we come back to Ellijay! Thank you!
Usually I would start a review with a list of all the positives. In this case, I want to mention the negatives first so that other travelers will hopefully see what I missed. Not only did I miss some of the more truthful reviews, the descriptive listing provided was a bit misleading. This property is NOT quiet and secluded. Directly behind the house is a beautiful river. But then you are looking directly at the back of a paint and body shop that is on a loud and heavily traveled highway. Unfortunately, the noise made worse by dumpsters being emptied. My last complaint is the mention of three outdoor fire pits to stay warm by. Thereâs one with no starter or wood to burn.
The house itself is great!! Very, very clean and comfortable with everything we needed.
I was looking for a quiet, secluded mountain getaway to enjoy with my family. While we enjoyed our time together, this particular property with the given description was disappointing.
The curb appeal at the front of the cabin is everything we were hoping for. The front yard is very large and the overall appearance of the front of the cabin is very appealing. The neighborhood where the cabin is located is very nice. The furniture in the house was very comfortable. It was a cozy place. The location to the grocery store was very convenient and we really enjoyed the hot tub!
There were some issues with the cabin that are worth mentioning before the next group arrives: The blinds need dusting really, really badly. Only half of the screen on the outdoor TV works. The other half of the screen is black. The water pressure in the cabin was never strong enough for our kids to use their own showerâthey used the shower in the master bedroom for the entire stay. Although we knew there would be road noise, we were bummed that it was so loud and so busy. Also, the listing mentioned all the fishing we could do at the cabin. There was no fishing equipment that we could find on the property, which was a huge let down to our little boy who loves to fish. The remote control car in the game room also never worked, which was also very disheartening to our kids who wanted to play with it. The bag of complimentary marshmallows was open upon arrival, so we had to throw them away. We are not a fussy family, so we tolerated the issues with the cabin. However, the next bunch may not be so forgiving.
The property was everything clean inviting
relaxing and the hot tub was amazing. Had a great time with family. The only negative was the directions on the GPS wasn't great and it was hard to find. The furbabies had everything they needed to. Bowls a crate . I took there wireless fence and they to enjoyed the property and privacy.
What a wonderful home away from home! The hosts thought of EVERYTHING!!! Beds & couches are comfy, linens are plush (robes included), tons of kitchen essentials, surprise SâMores kits, exciting game room, inviting porches & fire pit, lovely hot tub & absolutely beautiful river with easy access! This cabin is PERFECT.
One thing to note ~ Please be aware that this property is right on the river, which is awesome, but directly across the river is a pretty busy highway & the road noise definitely changes the âfeelâ of the property. You get busy road noise from 6am - 10pm.
Our family enjoyed this property so much! It was a perfect place for a family getaway. We also loved downtown Elijay and it was a short drive up to Blue Ridge. We would love to stay here again!
