We used this home and property for a womenâs renewal retreat. We had 10 women sharing the space, all very spread out and extremely comfortable. We each had our private spaces and plenty of interesting and beautiful nooks all over the home and on the property that felt healing. Waking up on the water to the sunrise each morning was wonderful, having a fire next to the water at night was spectacular, and even a day spent in the rain felt special in this location. The home is tucked away and feels very private and peaceful- although there are many activities and beautiful restaurants and parks nearby by car or boat. We did take advantage of all of the kayaks on site and loved exploring and photographing all the local waterfowl. Highly recommend for any group looking to connect and relax in a beautiful serene place.
The property is beautiful! The house! The view! The water! The yard! Everything was just wonderful about our stay at Chesapeake Point. We just loved every minute of our stay about at Chesapeake Point. The home is well maintained and was immaculate. I have never been in a home that was so clean. We will definitely return!
We had a family get together...kids, parent & grandparents. It was the perfect size with plenty of space. Lovely location, very clean and easy to communicate with host. Would definitely return!
We enjoy our stay the house is absolutely beautiful lots of space for the large groups! Host was great with responding timely! Thanks we had an amazing getaway..
This property was incredible -- spacious, beautifully decorated, well equipped, lakefront and on 72 acres. All I can give it is A+ across the board. The photos online do not do justice to the house or grounds, we were all pleasantly surprised when we got there (please bring in a professional to retake your online marketing photos). The only iffy thing was wifi service which wasn't strong (2g), however, that may be a plus depending on who you ask. Gave us an opportunity to unplug and be present, however, someone that needs to work while staying at the property would need a better connection. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and except for contacting the host regarding wifi, we did not reach out to the host one time. Everything we needed we found and more. Would definitely return in the future.
We were a group of 20 people ( 4 families). We had a great time fishing, boating, corn hole, crabs and lots and lots of laughs. We had coffee on the dock in the morning and drinks around the firepit at night. A memory everyone will have for a long time. It was a blessing that the internet was slow - so we could all have an excuse to disengage. Denise the house manager was wonderful in answering all our questions. Thank you for sharing your home.
The view absolutely took our breath away. The house has some great extras to keep kids entertained. Great space for a large family. Really enjoyed our stay!
The house was lovely and accommodated our group of 9 very easily. Itâs a great gathering spot for a large group. We were visiting for a wedding and had many activities over the course of our trip. But we did spend an afternoon kayaking and enjoying the water. We had a lot of rain and wind.
The only suggestion I would have is the bed linens. The pillows and bed linens were just ok. If you donât expect luxury linens you will be fine. We flew across country so could not bring our own.
The house itself was clean, organized, and had more amenities than we could count. TWO kitchens fully stocked with all that was needed to cook for 15 people. Almost every room in the house is completely renovated and very stylish. The hot-tub was very popular among my older family members. All the games and TVs allowed us to have a really nice family gathering despite the weather. Booking was very easy. Landon was polite, very organized, and answered my myriad of questions. My family and I will definitely be booking with them and possibly this house again.
We caught a picturesque Indian summer with all the glory. During our stay we saw Blue Heron, Bald Eagles, and a variety of Ducks and Geese against the peak fall foliage. Several species of fish were caught and released over the weekend right off the beach. The Moon and Sunrises over the Elk River may have been the best part. All our guests were comfortable and satisfied with the accommodations. We sourced all of our needs locally. There is plenty of great places in North East and Charlestown.. Don't be afraid to explore.
