'A charming rental with sweet Harry Potter-inspired details. When you enter you can ask Alexa to start the magic, which I thought was a clever intro. The den is cozy and a nice spot to relax and the bedroom has plenty of light and windows, with a comfy bed.'

The host was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond—when we realized we needed an extra night that wasn’t originally open, they made it possible for us to extend our stay. 'The surrounding area to the property is gorgeous and has great potential for a nice place to get away; however, the lack of information prior to arriving was a bit of a let down. Firstly, there was no indication before arriving that the place we would be staying at was currently in the process of being remodeled. 'We had a wonderful time! The house was perfect, lay out was great! They had everything you could need and more! Our 5 year old son had a blast with the Pac-Man, foosball, hot tub, and movie projector! The views were stunning! The fenced in backyard for the dogs was so nice to have. 'Great location, 5 or so minutes to Banner walk or Beech Mtn. Kitchen well stocked, kids loved playing in the creek, check in/out process a breeze (5pm a little late but plenty to do in the area to pass time). 3rd bedroom does not have a door FYI, that and the fact that the king bed is not in the bedroom that has an attached bath are really the only things we would change. '

'Alpine Ridge was absolutely perfect! Every area that we checked out inside and out was met with a WOW! The layout of the house is such that you could all gather together or find your own private spot to read or have some private chill out time. "One night stay here after staying at their sister hotel in Raleigh. The property itself is fine but no atmosphere compared to Raleigh. Easy parking, clean and comfortable room. Not much to do within walking distance, except a burger takeaway. We tried to walk to a nearby microbrewery. It should've been a 5 minute walk, but we found it impossible to cross the 6-lane highway in front of the motel so gave up and went back to our room. Maybe, as Europeans, we're not used to the American way of driving everywhere, but to visit a brewery, walking would seem a safer option. Pleasant enough motel but not sure we'd return."
