The fire alarm went off twice while we were there and took forever for them to resolve. One of those times was at 2:30am and it took over an hour to get it turned off. The floor we were on was ancient and in desperate need of updating. The lobby always smelled like cigar smoke. The entrance had several dumpsters in front of it.

This hotel is in the West Edmonton Mall. We book this hotel for the convenient location. The staffs were excellent and tried their best to accommodate us.

I booked a basic room through Expedia weeks ago. 2 days ago, I got a phone call from the hotel saying that my room would not be available because of an unexpected maintenance issue, but that I was going to be given a complimentary upgrade to a modern Polynesian room. I accepted. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was not given the upgraded room because of a supposed "issue" with it. The front desk did not even tell me this until I asked if it was the upgraded room. Then, the staff member told me no. She said that I could wait for the Polynesian room, but that she did not know how long that would be. So, I took the basic room as my family was standing around waiting and the hotel worker did not seem very friendly or helpful or sorry at all. My family was excited about the promised upgraded room and packed bathing suits so we could enjoy the jacuzzi tub. It was disappointing to have been told something and then not receive it. On top of this, there was no compensation at all even mentioned...like free breakfast or a discount. Disappointing.

Everything was excellent however unfortunately, the Jacuzzi was not cleaned before we got there. We could see traces of human …… in the Jacuzzi, therefore paid to get upgraded into the Hollywood suite. Hollywood suites in my opinion was a five star rating

The room is old and not updated at all. The bed springs are felt on the edges of the mattresses. There’s outlets on the base of the lamp but they don’t work. I called front desk for help with the tv so that I could watch a movie. I was told she would send up maintenance. No one showed up. In the morning I told the front desk staff . She said her manager would call me when he/she was done in their meeting. It’s been 26 hours and I’ve heard nothing. The bathroom door stop is on the bathroom floor and we were constantly stepping on it. This hurts almost as bad as stepping on legos. The bases for the beds are extremely hard and they stick out further than the box spring and mattress. They are carpeted with the same carpet as the floor so this makes them almost invisible and dangerous. We both stubbed our feet on them repeatedly. The upholstery on the chairs is stained and disgusting. There is a lack of outlets in the room. For the price of this hotel I expected way better rooms and customer service. It was a very disappointing stay.

Lived our family stay! We did the western room with the jail bunkbeds and the kids loved it. Attached to the mall, we had access to everything, m8ni golf, waterpark, galaxyland, aquarium, the works. Great stay, reasonably priced.

They do not have good consideration for late check out. They will give you only half an hour (check out is 11:00am). I paid for extra 2 hrs at $50, it should have been out for 1:30pm but said only be at 1:00pm. Technically, they did not honor the late check out for 30 minutes but paid for it anyway, the way it turns out. The only plus is the location if you are shopping.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Very clean! Fun for the kids! Some communication issues between staff and it was a bit hard to get replacement supplies for the room. Overall amazing experience.

Our room had dirty floss picks in the bed, a child’s bathing suit was left in the floor. Dirty socks under the bunk beds and old food

We absolutely loved our stay, the room fit our family of six perfectly and staff was super helpful. My only issue would be the price point for room service based on the quality of the actual food. I wasn’t overly impressed with the beef dip or the chicken sandwich. Everything else was perfect!
