Our stay was generally fine and the kids had a good time. I'd say fine for a guys fishing/hunting trip, or dads and kids "camping" trip. There are some amenities that are not as advertised, and it could me made clearer that the dock and water access are through the neighbor/owner's back yard and then using their dock. There is a fire pit and chairs pictured that are currently (spring 2026) torn up, with construction being planned. We brought firewood and smores stuff for the kids but weren't able to use it, and the owner was unapologetic and not willing to help us find a solution. There is also no coffee maker or ice maker, or even ice trays provided. There is a Keurig for pods (but no pods or refillable pods) but that is it, so we had to go buy a coffee maker to use. We tried using the toaster but the outlet was dead. I switched to another outlet and it was crackling so we skipped the toast. The dog was friendly, and we like dogs, and they do mention this in the listing, but if you don't like a dog following you around everywhere then maybe not for you.
