Cabin had everything we needed and was clean and well cared for. The location was a little remote, but that was not a problem at all. View from deck was wonderful. Beautiful location. Loved our stay!

Great location

We loved the view, spent lots of time watching wildlife from the porch. There is an accessible beach a short walk away, which was nice. Plenty of room inside, and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

A Hidden Gem by the Water

We had a fantastic week at the Whale View Waterfront Cottage. The location was absolutely perfect—peaceful, private, and with stunning views we never got tired of. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a family stay. We especially appreciated the outdoor space and the easy walk to the water. It was a great home base for exploring Orcas Island—just far enough off the beaten path, which we really enjoyed. We’d happily return. Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful Father’s Day Getaway

What a wonderful retreat! We enjoyed this very spacious cabin, nestled in the woods and overlooking a beautiful ocean view accompanied by eagles and deer. Easy access to town, nice and private. Great place all around - we can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing view & privacy!

This was amazing and we don't feel we could have picked a better house to rent. Perfect for solitude and privacy. Loved the view and wildlife. Watched the local deer, porpoises, seals and eagles. We did go whale watching and from the boat saw orcas just north of doe bay. Only 15 mins from town. We will definitely rent this home again.

Beautiful views, great property conveniently located to Moran Park and Eastsound village. We enjoyed walking down to the beach. There is beach access at the end of the road. We made several meals. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. There is a chunky friendly buck that hangs out near an apple tree. We brought him apples from in town. Loved the house!!! Had a great time on Orcas. Lots of great hiking.

Restful with a Great View

Three story A frame on cliff above the sea with spectacular view. Great adult getaway! Found it to be clean and well supplied. Property was private with nice NW beach near. It was an ideal place for our father/son vacation and we hope to return.

Beautiful and serene!!

We enjoyed our stay here. It had everything we needed. The views are stunning, it's a quiete serene place with the opportunity to see wildlife such as deer, bald eagles, osprey, porpoises, etc. You are also 15ish minutes from Eastsound.

Just as amazing as I thought it would be!!

Breakfast and dinner on the deck, otters, eagles and deer in our own backyard. Our own neighborhood beach for bocce ball! Life is good!

The view is stunning from here. There’s a lovely neighborhood beach a short walk away. Great location, less than 15 minutes to Eastsound, short drive to Moran State Park.

Quiet and peaceful, but a little disappointed with a few things.

The cabin was very dirty… there were thick cobwebs on the headboards and on the fake ivy located above the beds, as well as around the inside of the windows. This was not “cabin out in the woods so there will be spiderwebs” level of cobwebs, but more of a “this cabin hasn’t been deep-cleaned in a long time” level of cobwebs. Also, the window blinds in the left bedroom and in the upstairs bedroom were broken and wouldn’t raise up. This made the bedroom very dark as I didn’t have much natural light, nor could I open the window for fresh air at night, as the wind blowing the shade around made too much noise. We notified maintenance of this on the phone as they were coming out to look at a giant wet spot on the floor of the other bedroom. They left us a note about the wet spot, but I don’t think they even looked at the shades. The view was gorgeous, but somehow I had the impression it was an uninterrupted view. The trees and the railing made it difficult to see Mount Baker (the railing is just at eye-level when sitting down). Still, it was quiet and peaceful, and we did see harbor porpoises, bald eagles, and a family of otters from the deck! That was amazing!

Peaceful and Beautiful

This house was just the right place for our family to relax during our visit to Orcas Island! The views were stunning! We saw sea lions, porpoises, and deer. And we loved supping coffee on the deck in the morning while listening to water against the shore.
